hi,
I just formated my CPU today cause I got a couple viruses I couldent get rid of.
Now, I installed GW, and when I am at the Log on screen and forward, everything flickers except for the sgound/scenery. Alll the char. in the area, maps, interface, myself, it all flickers. So I uninstalled GW, and re-installed it, and it still does it.
Before I formatted it was fine, only doing it a couple times very 2 hours or so.
But I am NOT going to update my drivers, cause that totaled my CPU b4, so that is out of the question
specs;
AMD Sempron 2300+
1.59 GHz
768 MB of Ram
ATI Radeon 9250
Screen Flickers

Since you re-installed GW you've ruled out corrupted gw files.
Install the most current Ati driver for your card. Make sure you go to windows update and get all the critical patches (espically if you have high speed internet). If you have a clean copy of XP (clean xp sp2 even) and your not behind a router with high speed internet you can easily be infected by having an open connection.
Ati - https://support.ati.com/ics/support/...estionID=6 40
Since you've done a clean install of everything, I would also update other drivers for your mother board, hard drive controller (IDE/Sata drivers) to the most current stable that are Ms WHQL certified if possible. You may have some devices that are not.
Also check your moniter and refresh rate, I would up the refresh rate of your mointer to the max that it's able to do. If you have a old moniter and it lists a lot of refresh rates (beyond 75mhz, do NOT go past 75mhz). If it's not detected your mointer there is a slim chance it will allow you to go higher then it's designed for.. and that would be bad.
If you are not running XP sp2, make sure you upgrade your Direct X to the most current version. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

I'm looking in the ATI websit link you sent me and I have no clue what it means. What is all the "caticalyst" stuff its talking about?

"Catalyst" is the catchy name that Ati calls there video card driver. Nvidia plays the same game and calls there "Forceware". All it is in the driver to tell windows how to run your video card.
If you have high speed Internet, I would download and install this one
http://dlmdownloads.ati.com.edgesuit..._wdm_26409.exe
If your on dial up you will have to get the driver, and control panel part by part
Driver
http://dlmdownloads.ati.com.edgesuit...k_dd_26409.exe
Control Panel
http://dlmdownloads.ati.com.edgesuit...k_cp_26409.exe
Not sure of the Catalyst Control Panel is worth it (area to control the settings for the video card - enhanced version?), I have nvidia video card.

It almost sounds like your video is out-of-sync with GW. What display do you use? What resolution/refresh rate is your desktop? What is GW's refresh currently set to?
