Skill question for my monk

Ello all, I need a little help with acquiring skills for my monk/necro.
I ask the monk in Ash, and the one in the Green Hill County. The problem is, they both tell me to go to each other. In other words, the one in Ash, tells me to go to the one in Green and vice versa. Same goes for when I ask about necromancer skills. I'm new to the whole game and the skill system is throwing me for a loop

You can only learn a few skills from each trainer, if you ask about the same proffesion, they will tell you to visit the other trainer.
