Solo farming in Sorrows Furnace...

Yes, soloing is back. My friend showed me how he solo farmed for Greens (damnit, I only have a warrior that far in the game and that build doesn't work with Warriors). He didn't give me permission to release the build, but here are some screens with the skills blocked out. Note that the Monk is holding a staff (the Yakslapper to be exact, you can also tell by the unique artwork), so it's not the conventional 55hp build. Creativity > Nerfs. I hope people keep their secret builds to themselves so all the skills won't get nerfed, but let this be motivation to start experimenting. I think this particular build will work with any caster class, not just monks.

so dumb, sure motivate others to figure out how to farm... then they will release the builds.. If you can solo, great, keep it to yourself

The only way to make it to the bosses is to have killed some groups along the way, unless there is some route that I don't know about. Also, the bosses outside furnace never spawn alone. Even if the build can only take on one boss I won't mind doing it to over and over if I can get to that one boss and isolate him because there is a very high chance of getting green.

What I can say is that this particular necro boss can be soloed even with the 55 HP build.
I soloed him with my 55 HP build before, and there weren't too much trouble since he doesn't have a very strong self healing skill.

However, other bosses, espeically the monk and warrior, just seem impossible for me to come up with a build which can deal with the mobs on the way and solo the boss.

The elementalist boss, the ice golem with a red aura, can also be soloed with a smiting monk, but it just takes a bit longer to kill.

However, the boss spawn is completely random and you can't tell which one you'll encounter, which makes soloing this area completely painful and slow.

Therefore, if your friend is able to "solo" this area, please post some other screenshots when she kills the monk or warrior bosses.
If by soloing SF, you mean just to kill this necro boss instead of running around and kill everything you see, you probably should clarify it so people do not get misled, confused and spend time and energy thinking of something impossible to do.

I can solo all the bosses in Grenth's except the monk. I can take out the mesmer but I die about 30 times trying to kill his mob before I get him solo, but he can be done.

I just did it to see what would drop for greens. Not much. I have to think that when you go solo it makes your drop rates for greens a lot less than in a group. So really no reason to do it solo anyways. Unless you want to make a few extra gold pieces or something.

I have much more fun farming griffons than I do Grenths because at least they might drop something sometime.
