Hi all
I'm looking for advice on starting out my necro. I plan on just playing through the storyline missions and buy skills from vendors but am currently struggling to get along in the first missions solo.
Atm I've got 9 Death(sup rune) and 4 SR using dark swarm, animate minion, healing breeze and orision.
What would you recommend doing to start this train rolling?
I'm ok all the way in the second mission till the boss just after the bonus, then he runs in with 2 blades and kicks my ass. Even tried running with monk hench but still no luck
Am I right to go for minion master style necro or can someone reccommend something else?
Just basically wanna see what builds are out there that have been tried and tested to see what I can do
Gonna be reading through the necro thread of course but obviously not all the builds in it will be up to date, so if your a good necro, please share your latest build secrets.
Thanks

Thanks nick, does that build work well all round or does it have notable weaknesses? Is it good to use in all areas??
What would be your plan of attack with that build?

Res Sig The thing is this.. Veratas Sacrifice is a very late game skill, and any good necro minionater will use it. Without it, you're pretty much stuck with Blood of the master, and heal area if you're a monk secondary. If you ask me, that's totally gimped, because a whole LINE of magic is hinged on one stupid skill that isn't available till later... -_-
That's why you see a lot of n/mo, they can use heal area and get creative with healing seed to maybe sustain their minions for a useful amount of time.
If you're trying to SOLO, as in no henches or anything, good luck, because that's not the way the game was meant to be played. It is possible, and I know people have done it to some extent, but GW is not a single player game. Your only hope would be a few sup runes and protective spirit as far as I'm concerned.
If you just want to get through the game fast, see what's out there, my advice is go full SR, 12+1+3. Put the rest in healing, and groups will gobble you up like strawberry shortcake. If they already have a healer, point out that you can protect/battery just as easily.
Anyways, good luck on your necro, I know from experience they can be a real blast to play.
