Helping the Dwarves (bugged)

Ok now I'm not to good with remembering all the mission names but here goes. I'm having problems with the Helping the Dwarves Mission you get at Yak's Bend. Basicly you are to go and find this dwarf, talk to him and he will ask you to find his friend as part of the Helping the Dwarves mission. That part I can do just fine. He'll then say that there are rumors of war machine plans carried by some boss who just arrived. Now with my other two characters past this point, I have NEVER had a problem here... but now I am. I'm playing a warrior but I don't see how that changes anything. So back I go and find the boss and kill him. But unlike before... no plans drop. However my quest log updates and says "Take the plans back" Well my inventory is empty as far as plans. There are none. I search the whole area and nope... nothing. I kill everything in the area... still no plans.

Even with the log update, now I have no green arrow telling me where to go. But I do know as I've done this before... So back I go, talk to the guy but as far as he is concerned, I did not retrieve the plans even though my log says I did and the quest won't end. I have abandoned this mission twice and tried it again twice and STILL no plans drop. There is not even a chest nearby with plans or anything like The Frost Gate bonus.

In Anet's updates... did these plans now become hench drops? Cause if so, my henchmen have got a couple sets of war plans... any ideas? Am I the only one having this problem?

It must be your bad luck. I did this just yesterday with my new W/Mo and the plans dropped for me straight away. If you're that desperate for 500exp and a crappy item then wait till you're lvl 20 and solo it. Defeats the point a bit but beats the frustration IMO.

I've no idea why the henchies still get the quest item. This bug is so stupid its laughable.

very laughable but I'm not laughing. I could care less about the 500exp and the crappy items... but I don't want to miss any skills. Does he offer skills to destroy the lever? If not then I'm not going to worry about it.

No, he doesn't give any skill.

then screw him then, let him get the plans himself.
