Hi,
Am getting mobbed in PvE and was wondering the best distribution for my W/Earthe ele char.
Right now am going 6/5/5 for Hammer/Str/Earth Ele.
Ppl in this and other forums have suggested not to put any into Ele. Is this sage advice?? Plz help me out.

PS 1) : Also, after post-searing, can i adjust my attribute points without penalty???(ie, if i want 2 decrease earht ele and increase fire ele, can i do this freely??)
2) Whats the deal with LodeStones?(Enchanted, Scorched et al?) They keep dropping all over the place. Searched in forums but didnt get info wot i wanted
3) IS the warrior/Earth Ele combo any good in PvP???? Do let me know..
4) Whats teh use of dyes per se??

All Hail

well, once you hit post-searing, youll have access to max damage weapons...averaging requirement Hammer mastery 9ish. Strength is useful for a damage dealer....and for shield requirements, though you cant use a shield with a hammer.
I'd say for now you can ignore earth, till you level and hit the post-searing.
At that point, you can bump your hammer to max damage and then start throwing on aftershock

Then again, I've never played warrior before~just trying to help

since you just reached post searing, i'm guessing you have yet to hit level 20. also, you have not completed the 2 additional attribute quests.

so, for now, my advice is to not worry so much about your attribute point distribution. since you can switch them around freely in any outpost, play around with the stats to see what fits your build the best. you will be leveling up as you progress throughout the game and get more attribute points to spread out. worrying too much about it now isn't worth it.

just make sure you meet your weapon requirement and get good numbers for your str and earth skills, and you will be fine.

I'd say focus mainly on W attributes for now. If you spread yourself too thin early on you wont be very effective. 3 attributes later on is perfect though.

Um,

Noob question: Whats "attribute quest"?? ... What are the two quests specifically? (I can see a primary Defend the Northern wall quest). Is this one of em???

Hello Balrog

Don't worry yet about attribute quests. You are a long ways from that, and when you get there, you will know.

Primary quests bring you to the missions, which bring you through the storyline. Other quests give you rewards such as experience, skills, items, gold.

Missions are special instances - that is, you form your group and hopefully when everyone is ready, the leader of the group clicks "enter mission," and you begin. There is the regular mission and a bonus also. The Great Northern Wall is indeed a mission city.

Ahh,
Thx for clearing that...Are there any attribte quests in Ascalon City?(Post Searing)??

Also, There's a funny thing that I noticed. When I went Charr hunting with another W/Ele, I noticed he and I are the same level (10) But He hardly seemed to be taking any damage from Ignite Arrows of Charrr Hunters while I was getting whammied left and right...

In my Hero Screen, Ive adjusted the attributes for earth/hammer etc and my HP bar shows 280(which i guess will be constant for ANY W/Ele combo at my level, maybe a little moer with weapn/armor modifiers..like +!5HP etc..which I also have vbtw) . ALSO, my armour is ALL 50 (crafted @ armor shop in ascalon city, my helm is Gladiator helm). Basically, I THINK im wearing the BEST @ my level..

Then HOW is it that I've been plumelled while he managed to get only knicks and scratches?? This has been plaguing me..Are there some OTHTER stats that we're allowed to tinker with when we level up(other than magic, str, weapon mastery??).

Plz help me out

All Hail!!

Its possbiel that he is using things that he has found with previous characters, such as runes of absorbtion. Its even possible that he has run his character ahead to get later game armour, but I dont know why he would be running around Ascalon with that - most people run ahead to skip Ascalon.
Oh, and those attribute quests mentioned earlier dont show up until the desert area of the game, so dont worry about them for quite a while.

you double-click the rune and then click on one of the pieces of your armor. this places the rune on that armor.

runes are good for boosting your stats, and here is the breakdown:
minor rune: +1 to attribute
major rune: +2 to attribute, -50 hp
superior rune: +3 to attribute, -75 hp

then you have the vigor runes (+hp) and absorption runes (dmg reduction).

balrog - my prime is a kd/as (or in n00b a War/earth el). Early on focus on putting most, if not all of your attribs into hammer/str (shoot maybe even some tact if you want).

You do not get the good skills (aftershock) intended for your build until later.

also, as said get a hammer matching your req for your hammer skill. Try and get the hammer Vermilion is talking about - it is a nice one for starting.

if you want give me a shout in game.
