People have been begging me to post my latest Warrior build so here it is. This build uses poison and bleeding conditions to create a quick drain on HP and a high spike to finish. What makes this build fun is that no matter how many times a Monk uses purge condition or a Necro uses plague touch every hit applies poison to them. With Troll Unguent at a 8 pip regen you are perfectly fine from your own poisoning and almost all drains placed on you. The only problem I have ever had is when I had 2 mesmers and a necro all working on me at once. But then who doesn't have issues with that.

Warroir/Ranger

Armor: Gladiator set from Droknors Forge or Grotto, Duelest helm.

Runes: Superior Vigor, Superior Absorbtion, Superior Sword mastery, Minor Tactics , Minor Strength. (Put the Superior Sword in the helmet.)

Attributes:

Strength: 8+1
Sword Mastery: 12+4
Wilderness Survival: 10

Skill Bar:

1.) Sprint/hamstring (depends if you like to chase your prey or not)
2.) Endure Pain (Defy Pain)
3.) Apply Poison
4.) Sever Artery
5.) Gash
6.) Final Thrust
7.) Trol Ugnuet
8.) Rez Signet / Antidote Signet (Antidote is for soloing)

*Note, this build also works well with axes if you want higher spike. Of course then use the executioner helm with sup. axe and change the stats. Replace 4,5,6 with, Penetrating blow, executioners and eviserate.

Thanks for letting me know about the typo

I see axe for your stats and sword for your skills...

Anyway, the idea is sound... Seems like a CA arena because looks like you're not depending on any teammates for backup... I don't mind that. I like CA just as much cause you really need to try harder when in there...

Plague Touch isn't for sending poison back to you. It's for sending blind and weakness to you when you're teammates hit your targetted victim. In effect, your screwed... [unless you got your antidote sig...]

Definitely an Arena build, which makes the Troll Unguent acceptable. No reason to use sword though, and Endure/Defy Pain just plain stink. Since you are not using an auxilery elite, swap in Eviscerate, Executioner's Strike, and Axe Rake for your sword skills. Then put in a Frenzy over the Endure/Defy Pain.

I have found this build works in both pve and pvp especially in footprint and sorrow's furnance. The endure and troll are there for when you get something like weakness or blind, it allows you to tank while you wait for the conditions to go away Also works well to stop mesmer drains. Also I already stated you can swap out the sword skills with axe skills. But with the double drain of bleed and poison by the time I get to final thrust there usually already dead.

Sorry, I also forgot to mention this build is not effective for the opening to HOH. Unfortunatly the dead and undead are pretty much immune to these types of attacks, but if your team is aware of it then this build devistates the playing field.

Oh, well, if you want to PvE, you can pretty much ignore anything I ever say. I don't care at all about it and personally I think you can get through it easy even running crappy stuff. When I said arena I meant that it was bad in Tombs and GvG.

Why not do it as a W/N and us Virulence to put Weakness/Poison/Disease on after causeing them to bleed? I know that this works well especially when a e/mo is smiting off of u. You get the Damage from your attacks...the E/Mo's damage thru you. All while adding 10 pips of degen easily and cheaply. Virulence is like 5 energy for 6 degen and weakness.

Plus you could substitue Demonic Flesh for Defy Pain.

Any way...just a thought.

I still think a R/W could do this better. Victory is Mine should be the elite if you want to run this build. I've done it before, and Ive had about 3-5 conditions on a person and vimed for more energy + health.

Any way...just a thought. Now your getting into another build of mine for a W/N you can get uber health by using demonic flesh, endure pain and then use a heal or lifesteal to make up the difference. But you have tp use em in that order. With weapon mods I can bank really close to 1000 hp if i dont carry any supers. You may be on to something here. Let me reviisit my W/N tweak the build a bit and compare.

But back to this build. By using apply poison you get a side benfit. Thats the fact that every thime your char swings it give a fresh application of poison. Unlike using a skill like "virulence" this is a more of a set it and forget it skill. Apply poison runs for 24 seconds. If I remember correct a sword hits at a rate of like once every 1.25 secs. This means you can hit a person 19 times or 19 people and apply poison for one casting. Sever artery takes 4 adrenal. so every 5 secs you can hit someone with that. Giving you the ability to poison and bleed 4 people per cast. All of this for one 15 energy cast in 24 seconds Not to shabby if I do say so myself.

These are best conditions though.. however nice build... only one or two minor tweaks could really be done to this.. very good NON war/monk pve build...

Endure pain is quite pointless. It will give you a ~200hp boost for about 10 seconds, then take it right back. That skill slot is better spent on something else, such as galrath slash (which is almost a necessity on a damage-oriented sword warrior).
