I have some friends who have done everything in the game, but they have never completely cleared both the Underworld and the Fissure of Woe. This weekend I would like to do both with them. Perhaps Saturday the Fissure of Woe and Sunday the Underworld. This will be a couple of brave expeditions for people who can commit to the hours it takes to completely clear both areas. We want experts who know what they are doing and want to hang out with great people seeing some of the less common areas of these places. If you want to pick up fissure armor or a pet spider at the same time, feel free to do so, but we are most interested in getting those uncommon quests, the ones you skip because you know some new player in the group is bound to not know how to deal with invincible enemies or whatever challenge and will get everyone killed.

We are looking for an experienced and well rounded team of true talent so that we know we can clear both areas in one go, fast, with great drops, a great time, and plenty of fun. There are a few people I know I want to have in the group, if you guys are seeing this, Strider, Ashallendt, Aveeria, Mogget, etc. Let me know if you can come. Others please list your interest, your experience, your profession on the character(s) you would mostly likely bring, and why you want to come in 50 words or less (or more

Racthoh Demini, w/mo or w/n (I like to bring BiP). Sword, Tactics and Strength.
Dartakc of Kyi, mo/me. Healing, Inspiration, Divine.

My warrior has completed every quest but The Hunt, and my monk has done up to Restore the Temple in FoW. Underworld however, my monk has only done smite runs with my guild. My warrior has restored 3 of the monuments of grenth. I would prefer to play as my monk in UW since being a stance warrior gets really boring after a while in there.

The only request that I have is that we don't use any cheap tricks. Like carrying around the book, or luring shadows into skeletons. It's just boring.

did someone say "danger"? you know i'm in, blue. it's always an honor to be specifically requested by you.

i should have time to devote to both, but it all depends on the specific time you plan on going. just let me know.

also, since you're putting a well-rounded team together, i'll just let you know what i can bring to it. it might help in deciding the team build.

war/elem
you've seen this one. knockdowns, aftershock, armor of earth, wards. pretty standard tank. of course, i go stance tank for the underworld.

war/mes
sometimes, i feel like this one does better in the fissure, mainly because of the mesmer stances and the hex removals.

r/mo
trapper/minor protection. i would like to go to the underworld with this one.

just let me know which you would like me to bring. you know i'm always down for a good time.

Umm let me describe my build...W/Mo...Mending...39 words left...I would like to do this because I mentioned it to you the other day and LBS is the ultimate organizer...the usual build for FoW, modified with a couple stances for UW (unless there is a Prot Monk with aegis/guardian hanging around)

i may have to pass then. i have lunch plans for saturday, so it would cut into the trip. wish i could join you.

usually, later is better for me, but if you have enough people, you should still definitely go.

ranger:
barrage or poison, mark of rogdort, glyph concentrate, throw dirt, healing spring, res, maybe dodge just in case
or the traditional trapper

depends on what classes are coming, really...

monk...
heal or prot, whichever
i usually do heal/conditions removal when im not solo

why i want to go?
Err.....first fun sounding pve experience since sorrow's furnace came out....lol

Nope, we didn't make it: we lost a monk just a few minutes in to a power failure. We still had one, though, and made it to the eternal forge master and bought my last set of fissure armor. We lost favor, though, and couldn't get much further, so we made another attempt a little later in the day. Unfortunately, our 8th person was a leech, an echo nuker who didn't nuke any, and we lost a tank to Err=10 and a monk a little later to Err=7. We still finished the wailing lord and the text quest and the griffins and some other quests, but didn't clear the whole place. So, we will go again tomorrow, if anyone is interested. Until then, in lieu of other victory pictures, here are my four fissure sets:

I can bring an ele/necro with just under 2 million XP, most of which from FoW and UW. 16 fire, 13 storage, and the rest into blood or curses depending on the party makeup.

Sounds great, everyone! Keep letting me know. A few people have sent me PM's, but please also post here in this thread, if you would, as this is where I will probably look. Ashallendt's resume has me convinced we would be fools to enter those areas without Ariel, Alisha, or Amanda in our team. I'm not so convinced by capitalist's resume

, but we wouldn't leave out Nakora for anything, either.

I know early mornings don't work best for everyone, but they do for me. Can we shoot for Saturday at 10:00 Central again?

Hey everyone, quite a busy weekend for me with work and a few other real life commitments. I still got online long enough to play a little, but lost my connection in a lightning storm and mostly just helped out friends. We did enter the underworld, but lost a person quickly to a connection failure and other to some family chores, so we did not get very far. I am absolutely going to do these two areas start to finish, though, so lets plan on next weekend again. 10 AM Central. Be there is you can stay for the whole time, have a great connection, and don't have any storms in your area.

I've cleared FoW, and done 5/7 monuments in UW. Not sure of my avaliability due to a few commitments this weekend, but if I'm about, count me in.

I run for Fow/Uw:

Mo/E Jedi Mage Lousana
Healing/Divine/Earth
Breeze/vig spirit/word of healing/Healing touch/remove hex/mend ailment/rebirth/ward against melee

E/Mo (sometimes E/R) Leandriell Illaran
Fire/Energy/Healing/Water
Glyph of E/meteor shower/fireball/rogdorts invocation OR searing heat/Glyph of Concentration (uw only, replaced with fire storm in FoW)/maelstrom(for interupts of those irritating casters)/healing breeze/rebirth

I also have a w/e tank, but she's never been to uw/fow yet as I prefer my casters and it would probably be a bad idea to experiment with builds in such an event

I would be interested in clearing either of these areas. Although my experience might pale to some of the other people here. I have gotten 3 of the monuments in UW and made it to the armorer in FoW.

Chars I have (all ascended):
Mo/Wa ---- Usually run Protection/Healing

Wa/Mo ---- Usually run a stance tank

Ra/Ne ---- Usually run a trapper build in UW never tried it in FoW

Ele/Mes ---- Usually run an echo nuker

I have been trying to clear the 11 missions in FoW in one swoop, for awhile but am plauged by quitters. I would like to participate if there is room for Ranger. Here is my familiarity with missions.

I know these missions well

1) Tower of Courage
2) Army of Darkness
3) Eternal Forgemaster
4) Defend the Temple
5) Seeds of Corruption
6) Khoby the Betrayer

I completed these missions but dont know well

7) Wailing Lord
8) A Gift of Griffins

Never sucessfully completed

9) Tower of Strengh

Never attempted

10) Slaves of Menzies
11) The Hunt

IGN = Shadowspawn X
Primary Profession = Ranger
Completely unlocked secondaries = Ele/Mes/War (still capping a few elites on War)
My FoW build is based on R/E (pyro)

it seems like we're having trouble getting these two trips completed. people are either unavailable, have random disconnects, or we do not have favor on the weekends.

how about doing these on the weeknights? people seem to be on consistently then, and america seems to keep favor on most weeknights. we could do 1 trip on one night, and the other one on another night.

what does everyone think?

Weeknights aren't as good for me; I try to only get on for an hour or two a few weeknights each week. It always turns into much more than that with the astronomical number of messages I get, but weekends are probably the only time I will have enought time to see it all. That said, if I did have to shoot for a weeknight with all of my other commitments, I would say Wednesday nights would be best for me. I certainly do want to complete these two trips in all their glory.
