Game "crashing"..kind of?

I've played during some betas,and during them I have had problems logging in,and installing. During installing and putting in my email and pwrd, the game would sometimes "crash"...it's not actually crashing though,theres no error message,and the computer doesnt restart. Guildwars just vanishes. After I was able to install it(having to be lucky and have it not "crash") I was able to play fine(if I typed my email and pwrd before it "crahsed")Once in-game, I had no problems,so it didn't really bother me.

However,now in release the same thing also happens in-game. My computer is able to run games such as Doom 3 and eq2....any ideas?should I put down my specs anyways?

Edit: it usually occurs at random times,but always occurs within 8 minutes....It seems that everytime I run it, there is more time before it crashes..

Just a black screen, and you have to restart the computer yourself? If so

this is a different problem,my computer isn't being rebooted.

no black screen,the game screen just vanishes and leaves me looking at my normal computer screen...

This crash to desktop thing is what I have,the difference is that I didnt fully download the game yet,and it also crashes to desktop while im downloading. If people didn't download the game before the patch, they will have a hella time downloading it,just to see it crashes in-game and at login also..at least it's not just me ;/
