Yes you can get a bear in pre searing. The bear does use a skill that interups the charm animal. You must have someone keep the bear busy while you charm it Not sure exactly how this is done but was talking to a friend a while back and they said thats how you do it.
derrtyboy69
you can do it by a mesmer inting the bear.. i think. mabye some knockdown would do it. or you could get ran to droks and get one, probly cost about 10k. and im thinkin a big fat no on the spidy

Hey good luck charming a bear if it can be done... I thought only animals with green names could be charmed. I got my first bear with my Ranger outside Droknar in Witman's Folly but you can charm one earlier on outside Beacon Perch in Lonar Pass...

There are both peaceful (green) and agressive (red) Moss Spiders in pre-searing. You can not charm either.
It is possible to charm some agressive (red) beasts, though, as Wolves prove.
As far as the bear is concerned: I always believed it would be possible, either by having a Warrior with knockdown distract the bear while you charm or by having two rangers charm synchronously at the same time (one of them would succeed). But I never had the opportunity to test it myself.

I know you could charm bears in Pre, don`t know if they (Anet) changed it or not. There was several threads on it if someone would like to use the search button, you`ll have to go back a while. It takes 2 people.
On the subject of grammar, I`ll point everyone to this thread: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...?p=779#post779
What it says to those who are too lazy to look:
Do Not Abuse The English Language
This is a message board, not an AOL chatroom. As such, you have all the time necessary to articulate your posts in a coherent matter. "You" is only two more letters than "u", it won't kill you to type them. Completely illegible posts are subject to moderation - and I can't guarantee their accuracy of 'translating' the authors original message, if you get my drift. When one punctuation works (like a ?) instead of 10 (like ?!?!), use one.
There is also a part about flaming, some of you might glance over that as well. If you use the Google Toolbar it comes with a handy spell check that works inside forums.

sometimes a good use of the english language is not to use to bash others...
hey anyone try and charm that rabbit on the hillside outside Ascalon?

Rabbit is not charmable.
On the subject of bear charm, the process used to go thusly:
Need 2 people, and the other classes involved must be monk, necro, and warrior. The non-ranger grabs agro first. You use faintheartedness to slow first, then precisely-timed bane signets & hammer bashes (and I mean precise) to prevent the bear from using the charmbreaker.
That's how it is/was done. Tried 2-boxing it but was never able to manage it, but my patience level is rather low for such things. I doubt they have changed it so that this particular method is no longer possible though; so good luck.
