yep, and in addition, you can use kindle arrow as the "fire" part of your attack, which triggers conjure flame, leaving your bow string to be whatever you'd like (can anyone say 2 types of ele damage at once? o.O)

No, you only get one conjure hit per arrow. Having a fiery bow string just means you can still get conjure hits when kindle arrows isn't active. Not really worth it; I'd get a vampiric string instead.

I've heard that kindle arrows will also prevent conjure lightning and conjure frost from working, even if you have the appropriate bowstring. I don't know what happens if you have a non-fiery elemental string, kindle arrows, and conjure flame.

Ummm.. sure it does. You need a fiery string though, since you can't Kindle and Ignite your arrows at the same time.

But with any elemental string on there, you'll deal added damage from the matching Conjure as well as AoE Fire damage from Ignite.

Kindle Arrows = for 24 seconds, your arrows deal an additional 3-20 Fire damage. Think of this like your Ranger holding a blow-torch to the tip of each arrow just before they shoot it. No matter how it started out, that arrow is leaving the bow kindled.

So in your example: Icy String = Ice DMG ----> Kindle Arrows = convert to Fire ----> Conjure Flame = (add extra Fire DMG + DMG from Kindle)

Compare that to Ignite Arrows, where "your arrows explode on contact, dealing 3-15 Fire damage." Here, it's the explosion that's dealing the fire damage. These arrows must look like little hand-grenades or something.. This means that you are free to conjure any element you want on that hand-grenade before you fire it, as the fire damage is not being caused by the actual arrow itself (except with a Fire string or Greater Conflag..).

Anyway: Icy String = Ice DMG ----> Ignite Arrows = (Ice DMG + AoE Fire DMG) ----> Conjure Frost = (add extra Ice DMG + AoE Fire DMG + normal Ice DMG from arrow).
