Playing Guild Wars anonymous?

Just wanted to know if there was any way to hide your online status to your guild/friends. Sometimes I wanna party up, other times I just wanna play an alt and be left alone to do my own thing.

I can sort of understand why they let you join only one guild for your whole account, but I really hope there's a way to hide yourself. Be way easier than trying to tell 'em I just wanna play alone for a bit.

In the friends list menu, there is an option to change your current player status. You can use this to change your status to offline, which will show you as offline to your guild and friends. But note that it doesn’t hide you as a player in town, meaning one of your friends/guild mates can still see you running around in towns.

i wish there was some tool that made them notice i was online coz they some time ignore me grrrrr i would never hide my status

I have no problem with my guildies, if they are doing something elses and don't feel like or cannot help to joying my game. We just tell each other, no offense taken!
The only thing I don't like is to be ignored that I really hate!
