Charr maps

We've all seen them dotted around but have we actually stopped to take a serious look at them?
Ascalon shows a picture of a devourer, maguuma shows a picture of a scarab and the sea to the south-east of the fire islands shows....



What is it? A giant squid or an unknown island? Just a pretty picture that a charr artist drew on out of boredom or a hint of something which we haven't yet discovered?
Hidden lands are rumoured to be in the south...could this be it, or part of it?

Am i just over speculating or being too hopeful?

i think ur being too hopeful. maybe itll come in a future update.

Just a pretty drawing similar to the murals you find across the world. Nothing more really.

No doubt something new will come in the expansion. I think it's been confirmed somewhere that it'll be south of the crystal desert, but don't take my word on it. Honestly, I can't wait till we're out of this humdrum current area

PS: Anet, you'd better bring back presearing or better next time ;P All this furnace/nuclear wasteland crap is depressing me.

I read something on guru, months ago, about a land south of the fire islands which we haven't yet discovered. I think it has something to do with the orr army which was supposed to have been defeated.

Well, we kept getting the "vs charr" mods in later zones and we were like "wth do i want with that?", so i am keeping my "vs undead/skeletons" mods for a possible return of this undead race in these supposed undiscovered lands.
I would love to test my smiting monk on some level 24 undead. When Anet, when?

I'm kinda hoping Anet or the frog give out a little more info on future updates. I have a basket load of questions for the frog but he always eludes me.

Well, Cantha is South of Everything, talk to some of the canthans located throughout the game (such as in Lions arch) I think Xunlei May even be a Canthan guild.

I can imagine it now, take a boat trip to the continent of cantha from LA, just like you do to get to the compettition arenas.

Actualy the Guild hall islands are owned by the canthans

i'm pretty sure that the nation of Cantha will be explorable in later expansions. only time will tell....

I would think, its random drawing and it won't mean anything unless a-net decided to include this unknown island for future expansion.

It could be Orr, before it was blown up.

I believe (and I hope ) that the Chapter 2 will make us visit Cantha and/or Orr, maybe after escaping from fire island, the boat will be misteriously redirected in one of that places

Yep. Orr was supposed to have been destroyed but anything can happen since it's a fantasy world.
We found a use for the "vs charr mods", now i'm saving my "vs undead" mods! It think Anet gave us a major spoiler there! lol.

I just hope above all else, that in the expansion they don't include any more devourers.
