I've looked but haven't seen the answer to this so:
Will Hyromancer's armor help my E/Mo in the south shiverpeaks? I want to get some armor in Droknar's, as a placeholder until I can afford the 60k armor that I want. So will the Hydromancer armor do me any good? or should I go with pyro? I curently have the lvl 60 collector's set from the desert, but I want something with some bonuses, and I don't know if there are enough enemies that do cold dmg to warrant the hydro armor.

The best armor you can get for what lies ahead is the pyro. There are more foes who do fire damage then any other. It's what I got for my ele.

Siege golems, uhm...a few others. To be honest its not really worth it for +15 al vs cold.

But Pyro armor looks the worst. Go with a mix of hydro and areo and just stay in the back where Ele's belong.

the shiverpeaks hav ice imps and ice golems that do cold dmg and as far as i know theyre the only elemental monsters in the shiverpeaks.

well i was planning on getting the pyro 60k. I just want something new from the collectors set I've got now until I can afford the 60k. What about sorrows furnace? are the enemies fire or cold? if at all?

Personally, I'm a fan of the basic elementalist armor, no bonus vs <insert element here> but I happen to like it, and with a black dye job it looks great. The black gives definition to it rather than taking it away.

Hydro male and female is the best looking.

I'm a big fan of the 15k geo and aero armor sets. For pve it really doesn't make much difference what armor you choose, just grab something you like.

Commander Ryker Actually, the aero armor looks the worst. It reminds me of the bad costumes in the first Star Trek series. Also, staying in the back doesn't insure that you won't get hit. I've had foes target me from the start where I then ran them over to the warriors. I get them in a nice big group and then metor shower their behinds. |
