Sounds like someone has a keygen and they just managed to pick yours out of the millions of combinations...the thing is, how many more do they have?!
Bad luck indeed.

Hmm...do you have a scanner or digi cam? Maybe take a picture of the receipt & the guild wars case with the key on it and send that to the guild wars support. Explain that you bought the game from Games LTD, and tried to install it and it said you have an invalid key, and they won't refund your game. If you have the receipt with the date & time you bought it, hopefully Guild Wars support can put 2 and 2 together and realize someone must have keygen'ed the code.
Did you buy the game new or used? If you bought it new, and it doesn't work, there is NO reason for that company to not take it back. If GW support doesn't do anything about it, threaten to contact the BBB (Better Business Buearu...I can't spell that word for the life of me lol) if they don't fix your situation. From my experience, just mentioning the BBB has been enough to get my way with a horrible store.

When you got the game was the security card where the CD-Key is scratched off exposing the CD-Key? Or was the CD-Key still covered by the stuff you have to scratch off?
Because there are 2 possible issues here:
1. The CD-Key was uncovered when you bought it.
This means that someone at Game Ltd decided to try the game out and used the CD-Key from the box you bought to create an account and play the game. This means the copy they sold you could never ever be used by you since the CD-Key wa salready used in another account.
I know for a fact that staff at EB-Games Try out games all the times, and they sell the games they "tried" to the public. What their guidelines for games like Guild War's is I don't know. I don't know if Games Ltd does the same - but if the CD-Key was uncovered then I'd say that's the case.
If you bought the game new and they used it and they refuse to swap your game box with one that you can use then you need to start considering legal action - Take the action melbo mentioned. Tell them your going to the BBB or whatever government agency which deals with businesses and frued and such.. as what they did is fraudulant and they should be held accountable.
If you bought the game second-hand... then I'm afraid there's not much you can do about it except go and buy the game brand-new.
2. The CD-Key was still covered.
If you bought the game brand new and the CD-Key was still covered and had to be scratched off, but was unable to be used - your the sad victim of someone who's CD-Key generator worked and nabbed them your key. What you need to do is get in contact with ANet asap and talk to them. you bought the game legit and thus should have full use of the game and the person using your CD-Key never paid for the game.. I'm sure that as long as you have the receipt and can prove you bought the game then ANet will kill the other account and let you play.

Well...this may sound kinda dumb...And sometimes I make the same mistake and I'm sure you checked numerous times, but did you check to see if ya left anything out? Switched numbers around...I dunnoes..Just listen to them...They know what they are talking about

If it were me I would first contact Game Ltd. and insist on a new game. What they basically did was sell you a defective game, regardless of whether the license was guessed by a Key generator or not. I imagine it is a tough question who is responsible to refund your situation: Game Ltd. or Anet in this case, but if you can't get anywhere with Game Ltd. (hey, threaten to give them bad publicity) then sit hard on Anet. Like a previous poster said, you bought a legitimate game from a legitimate source, so Anet owes you a legitimate license key. Ask them what you need to send them to prove your case (proof of purchase, where purchased from, license key) and leave it up to them to investigate where in the world this license key was put in use.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Sorry to hear you're having key issues. I hope you'll be able to solve your problem. Curiously, it's the first time I hear of such a keygen. The key decryption code is on the ANet server, so it cannot be duplicated. Trying all combinations with the 'create account' feature requires an insane amount of time, so if someone really found yours randomly, you are incredibly unlucky.
Just a few more words: don't ask for a free key on these boards. Ever.

At least that's how I've been told they work. Since the number of 'valid' codes is so high, these people don't get caught or take forever to be caught since the chances of someone else getting that code are low.
Sadly, the only alternative to this is what Half-Life2 did with steam...which was a horrid pain in the butt
OP: Put some spice into it...do you have any really bitchy friends or parents? Ask them to do the work for you. LOL, sometimes it takes more than one trip while being loud in front of everyone else in the store to get your way. If you're too nice they'll step on you and ignore your problem...but if you're being loud and saying what happened in front of other customers in the store, they might appease you quicker. Aside from the BBB thing, that's the only thing I can think of. Good luck!

Are there any O's in the number? If so you may want to try a 0(zero) instead, most vendors do not use the letter "o" for that very reason.
