Will this work?

If you go into SF with galen, and then aggro the flame djinn, could you make it so the flame djinn kills the bosses so you can get the weapons?
derrtyboy69
wouldnt it kill you first?

Since you weren't involved in killing the boss, anything that drops wouldn't be for you, so no, I don't think it would work.

exactly.
Just look at the groups of White Mantle & dwarves fighting each other at beginning of infusionmission. Can't remember I ever got a drop there

If you're taking damage from him, or if you're supporting a character doing damage, you can still get loot. If it was only damage based, monks wouldn't ever get drops, would they? I know that sitting around tanking, and not even bothering with melee, since smites are just better at a big group, will still get you loot.

It's not damage based, but participation is somehow measured in battle. As far as I've seen when the game calculates drops it includes any of the dead creature's enemies for loot, so if you're taking Cynn and the others to the Ascalon Settlement, they get a share of the loot too. Well, I'm not entirely sure about that, but it's irrelevant to the OP's concern. As the bosses are your allies during the Galen Trask quest, you won't ever get drops from them. Otherwise I'd be killing Cynn to get Cynn's Henchie Staff.
