The girls flute...
da beast
After the searing in lakeside country in abshire (is that how its spelled?) you'll find the broken flute of the girl you met at the begining of the game that follows you around. Does anyone know what you do with this item?
skyraker
Maybe get her a new one?
skyraker
Though make sure you gave her the broken one first
Aidan Gawain
Give it to her, then buy her a new one when she asks. If you make her happy enough, she'll give you a "Tapestry Shred". It's a quest item, but no one (to my knowledge) knows what it does.

Is the girl after the searing?
Jesso
This one time, at band camp.....

He is asking about AFTER the searing, I to have found the broken flute again and have no clue either. To many "quest item" peices that no-one has a clue about!

*edit* i found it post-searing

You return the flute to Gwen.
Then, if you are feeling nice, and can spare 4 gp, you can buy her a new one in the pre-searing ascalon.
Regards, Ashleigh.

AFTER not before! Can you READ!?
Ashleigh McMahon
Umm... Sorry. Just trash it then, it's no more use.

I've found three of these in post-searing.

I've heard that the flute found in the ruins of Ashford, as well as the tapestry shred Gwen may have given you, may be important much later in the game, when you get to the underworld. I haven't seen this myself, so take that with a grain of salt.
Death By Hesitation
I gave her a new flute and 2 red iris flowers...and the ungrateful hoe hasn't given me nething!

I really wonder why some people reply without bothering to actually read the thread.
It's pretty weird, everytime I go there, the broken flute is back, but in a sem-random place. I have no idea what it's for, but my guess is that every quest item has its use. It would be rotten if they were just red herrings.
