Once you progress to the later areas of the game, you discover that, to aquire good equipment, you must buy/trade for it, or for materials to create it.
The current method for doing so, is going to random districts of assorted towns, and sifting through the trade channel spam, or contributing to it yourself.
This method is horrible, and a big waste of time.
The lack of an actual trade system (Auction House, Bizaar, PC shops, etc) is seriously hurting this game.
At the moment i am in the process of listing several of my yellow/rare items on E-bay, simply because spamming the trade channel to one district at a time is as frustrating as it is futile. Many people i know in-game are doing the same.
Since this is frowned upon, Perhaps some sort of 3rd party site would host such a thing. Simply a bulletin board type setup, for items, prices and offers, to be linked ONLY to in-game items, and in-game gold/platinum.

Actually I love sitting there just listening to peoples offers and may buy something...maybe they should add some trading-district tho and maybe an auction-house but would suck too when the streets are blocked with mass shops...

Somekind of interactive auction would be nice. Player places item on auction, and everyone can bid, and once the player recives a bid he likes, he can just click accept. And item goes to buyer and money goes to seller. All done in game.

You mean something like this?
http://www.rpgtraders.net/diabloii/
I always thought that diabloii.net had the best trading system for any game so far.
wait, wtf they do!!! (this is sooo sweet, just found it)

Yes, something similar to that D2 site listed would be helpful.
A 3rd party needs to jump in here where the Guild Wars Developers dropped the ball.
This game has no monthly fees, so I SERIOUSLY dont think they will ever implement something like an Auction House, or Bizaar. For the main reason that it would require an extra server to setup, and therefore extra costs.
In assorted interviews with the Guild Wars team, pre-launch. I read alot of things like "Players will be able to access message board services in game".
It looks like those systems got canned, so they could release the game sooner, and have it cost less to produce/maintain.
This is REALLY hurting the game, as you will all discover later on.
I guess we will have to wait for one of these "Expansion packs"

Just salvage your own stuff and you won't need to buy from anyone else. If you want rare materials you can use a npc. For instance, some money charcoil and iron ingot will give you a steel ingot.
