axe vs sword (speed & dmg)

well im thinking of changing to axe because it has some very awsome moves
its just i like having sword skills because the adren costs arnt(on average)
as high as axe and there is alot more speed......

i would like to hear comments on which is better.....................................

sword and axe have same attack speed
on a moving target's back, dmg are always critical... in this case, axe is far better than sword.
on a target facing you taking all the damage straight not moving, sword's high minimium going to help alot more.
most axe skills are in about the same Andreline, therefore you can release all of them in a sudden... which make berserker stance a good thing with it.
most sword skill andrenline are a bit spread, so the skill usage are rather broad across the timeline.
sword are better when you need the elite for another attribute
axe spike hard, eviscerate + excutioner strike under 33% atk spd up can rival many other spike out there.
