Can't get into Frontier mission 3?

I just finished the Fort Ranik mission, but there isn't an option to get into the mission at Frontier Gate. Is there something I have to do first?

Talk to the NPCs. They'll give you a quest which will take you to the next mission

Oh, is it the Surmia quest thing? I was expecting it to be another thing where you hit the "Enter Mission" button.

Yes, you need to walk to Surmia first, the mission is there.

There is also a quest for Frontier Gate Fugitives which give you 1000exp. Its quite easy and worth the time. I think this might be the one you are referring too.
