Applying Dye Twice?

I just bought some new gladaitor Armor leggings and applied silver dye once to it, and it didn't have much of an effect. Since I had 6 of them and a spare now (Call me the silver knight if you will), would it increase the effect to apply it twice and make all of it silver?

I dont know but I heard you can mix dyes.. can anyone confirm this?

You can mix dyes just by using one on the other, but I'm not sure if you can apply more than one dye.

If you apply a dye to a dyed armor, it just overwrites the previous color.
If you want to mix dyes, you have to do that before dyeing the armor, and you can mix up to four dyes.
