Dear Arena.net
First, I'd like to apologize to the hundreds, if not thousands of other forumers for 'spamming' a new thread, when thousands exist already. Unfortunely for some reason, you don't maintain a forum of your own.
Onwards to the real reason of this letter, which I fear will go unheard if sent to [email protected]'...
We've been through a fair amount of 'nerfing' since the game guild wars was release. I understand that you would like this game to be the paramount of PVP games, however it's PVE element has still drawn me in, in fact, the reason that I have bought this game. I just logged in to play with my guild mates however everyone has not logged in since your last nerfing or were discussing going off and buying world of warcraft and if we could meet in there.
I feel that in your endevor to make certain players happy, you have forgotten the scope of your project: A fun game. Initially all the dev interviews talked about being excited about seeing what players were going to do. Excited that people were going to have fun, however it seems that they have lost sight in the fact that we, the players, are not having as much fun as of late.
You wonder how I've communicated with all the 1,000,000 players around the world? I don't have to. I can bring down the bar of districts and see that droks as of late has only had 6 districts. Six. That ascalon city has no more than 10 or 12. I remember when it used to have 40. No special to get players to play again, nothing like that just that they wanted to be there. They wanted to play the game. Now after several nerfs later, all that remains is a desolate world of PVE and the few who wanted their PVP...
What I'm trying to say is: If all you care about is what's going on in the PVP world, what do you care what I do with my friends and with my time if I never see PVP? Am I to be in the thousands of players who you've made unhappy who won't buy your expansion pack?
Thank you
~Trevor/Wraith
ps, mods it would be nice if you left this up for a while. Thank you.

the nerfs seem to favor the PvP people while that all may be well and good... are actually ruining for some, the PvE aspect. For me, I PvE and will always PvE... to be so bored or suddenly interested in PvP would be like waking up and realising I liked poking myself in the eye with a hot iron.
To make money, we used farm... drops get nerfed, prices go up even higher as items become more rare to get... chests now require keys. Skills we used to use to combat those used against us in PvE are nerfed and no longer working as well as they used to. It seems while our skills get nerfed... the AI NPC skills remain the same. I call for a nerf on them... let their casting time be longer, their recharge times longer, let it be easier to interupt them.
PvE keeps getting nerfed in the "fairness" and overwhelming dev and player ideals for PvP...

I'm sorry, PvE is HARD? No, I'm not one of the PvPers. I have like 4k faction over the life of my account because I got bored one night. Anyway, I find that with a good team, you can pretty much steamroll anything in PvE. The interesting parts are when somebody accidentally screws up and you take on 3 groups at once. The great parts are wars of attrition. Like when I fought 20+ Lava spiders or whatever at the Ring of Fire. When it comes down to me vs. 2 spiders for the survival of the mission, thats fun. Especially when you win. So please done make PvE any easier.

the key words are "A GOOD group." only thing passing for a good group on a regular basis are henchmen... at least this update hopefully fixed them. But what I want to see is a nerf on skills used against us... for example, my warrior requires a few connecting strikes on an enemy to charge up my sever artery skill... or I can use a monk skill that when I take damage, charges it. However I can get the same skill used against me by a Grawl welding an hammer (even though the skill is sword) and be "bleeding" from just one blow. What happened to the charging time and the fact he holds a hammer and not a sword? Anyway...
I feel adjustements to suit the whiners, complainers or suggestion people of PvP should only effect PvP...

Uh someone missed the point? I don't think all nerfing is the reason gw is getting boring. I think it's the fact that the only thing there is to do after you BEAT THE GAME is pvp. Which isn't always fun. A new chapter should fix this problem....maybe...
Another thing. This game is a MMORPG and is subject to change like any other MMORPG. Anet just wants to make the game fair and prevent exploiting. They have done this by nerfing so that the game can stay fair for everyone. But the thing you miss here is this: The innocent suffer with the guilty. If anet didn't work hard to make the game fair and prevent exploiting we'd end up in another diablo 2 nightmare.
