GWFreaks 2.x Character / Team Builder

GWFreaks is one of the most popular offline Guild Wars tool.

The tool is a pack of information (attribute point, skill, map, skill location) nicely grouped into an application. The big advantage is to have instant search, very precise information (you can get value for a specific skill for attribute value up to 20) and be able to save/reload/export your template.

The tool is not new, it was existing before the game back in the beta time. Over time the tool has evolve and will continue too for years coming.

For example we added the equipment module this month and will introduce a fully 5 languages translation in our next release version 2.2.

Is GWFreaks a cheat?
- No, the tool do not interact with the game, in fact you don't need Guild Wars installed on the machine to make it run. (Don't install it at job you freak! , and

Hello Guru,

Here is an update for the latest balance patch.

- Skill database updated with the September 29th balance patch.
- Fix Expertise attribute, no longer affect Bow Attack skill energy cost.
- Add CSS to player and team XML template.
[The XML is based on CSS2 and only viewable correctly in FireFox, Thanks to Grimpaw


To get it, just run the updater build-in the tool.

Here's some updates

- Skill lock are now in grayscale to see the difference
(can switch to team mode to see color or unlock all)
- Skill database updated, lot of syntax errors corrected
- Equipment database updated

- Bug in Equipment when switching to offhand, runes was displaying
- Bug in Health/Energy bonus calculation

excellant program, but i have one comment: it would be just that much cooler if the program automatically generated a simple .txt file for any 'team' you make showing what skills you bring, attribute setup, etc. it would just be that much easier to show other people what you built using that tool

I've seen similar things like this except for FPS, but they only had the maps. Seems like an excellent program, I'll dl it when I get back home!

Just a words to let know the community we released version 2.2 that include translation into French, German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish and Polish.
We have also update both Skill and Npc information.

Why the heck won't this work, I downloaded the Framework thingy too and it still gives me that (oxoccot) blah blah error

My guild leader syas this is a good program to d/l'd and he says he makes his builds with this.

no weapon mod options when you choosing PVP weapons.

can you give a straight direct answer. is it malicious or not? i get a little nervy about software when the salesman dances around the question istead of answering straight.

it does NOT have a key logger
it does NOT have a trojan
it does NOT have anthing malicious on it.

Great program! It's really worth downloading, especially if you can't play Guild Wars for a couple of hours, but don't have much else to do. I used to use this program non-stop when my computer crashed and needed fixing. I was using my old computer, which sucks, and can't run Guild Wars so I tried this program, and I loved it.

i remeber when i helped zyo start putting in all the weapons for teh items screen.

As for exporting your team build to a txt file im not sure.. i just use the export to phpbb w/color to put directly into our guild forums..

but if u create a team, click file then export.
click on the team radio button, and make sure plain text is selected then presto.. copy n paste

but agree'd maybe making it export directly to a txt file or a html would be good fo thoose 2 items

Thanks for the hints. I really liked the program and feel like it is trustworthy. I will have to download a new copy and try posting some fancy builds with ease.

Its nice, but some of the numbers for duration (attribute linked) and damage (attribute linked) are wrong.

I'm guessing it is because of the GW system not using actual formulas per se but numbers. Or maybe the calculations are not right.
