Dye Removal.

Okay, here's the deal. I got my monk the lovely and brownish looking fissure-armor. At first I dyed it silver since it matched my cape so nicely. Then my old guild folded and I joined one with a black/dark blue cape and I wanted my armor to have about the same colour. I tried to dye one of the pieces with the blue/black-combi but it turned out brownish and it looks horrible. The charts provided on the internet don't seem to have the answer either. Also, when I use dye remover it seems to only lighten the brownish glow it had. Is there any way to make it the darkblue I would like to see? The current colour is the silver I always had...

Canada...... Eh!

If you use dye remover it should change it back to it's original color. I can't see why it wouldn't anyways. But then after that you should be able to dye it whatever color you like. Try it out on just one piece until you get what you're looking for.

Aye, that's the obvious answer I just wished someone knew which dyes to use in this case... Rather expensive to keep buying black dyes. But thanks for the input!

From what I've heard, dying Monk fissure armor is similar to the tattoos in that the colors aren't what the dyes are, but I've also heard the color system for them is different than the tattoos. Just try the opposite of dark blue - maybe an orange-yellow of some sort.

Gotta love the search feature. But this will also hold true for the monk. If you are to use dye remover on any armor, it'll change it to the base color, such as with warrior platemail being gold, and blah blah. As for the coloring, just get something to contrast with your guild cape?

Woot, guesswork FTW!

And, for a reference, there's a chart or two here about dye colors.

Unfortunately I don't know what pattern the Monk fissure armor follows. Most dye coloring is trial and error, anyway; I've probably spent near 50k on dyes in the past week. There is no pure white dye, in case any of you were wondering...
