Not sure where to put this, but on the two missions for the Ascension, "Elona's Reach", and "Thirsty River"... I have found it impossible to do these missions... One of them, (the one with the 6 teams), the 6th team has a healer as a boss, and the priest healing it... so it is impossible to take either of them down -_-... and well elona's reach, i've only tried twice, but for thirsty river, does anyone have any tips? we tried backfiring the boss a ton so whenever he healed he'd get hurt but nothing worked... we got all the other 5 teams eliminated... PLEASE HELP... this mission is like IMPOSSIBLE!!!! P.S. I'm an N/Me17 on the American servers... named Digital X

It's not impossible.

It might be frustrating, but it comes down to finding a team you work well with. It took three or four tries to complete that mission, with a couple of group incarnations. The other healer and I worked very well together, the damage-dealers could work effectively, and we had a strategy that allowed us a sure (though I won't say easy) victory.

Hardly impossible, you just need to find the right tactics.

its not impossible, in fact, its rather easy, a guildmate and i joined up with a group of tards, we're both warrior/monks and we got another warrior monk, a monk/ranger, and ranger/mesmer, and something else, all of them died, my buddy and i started rezzing them as decoys and i ran off with the last stone, as for the groups, bring an archer and an elementalist and after you beat one group, leave the ghostly hero at the top of the hill and pick off some of the groups, the archer has the furthest range and they will typically run towards you at the wall, from there the ele can kill them, the clock is stopped so dont worry about it, and whatever group you end up killing, go right for their priest so they cant rez, we found bringing meteor shower and knocking down the boss healer as the first group we fought to the left of the three man zone made it smooth, we would have beaten it in under the 10:30 timeframe to get the bonus but we waited for 8 minutes and then charged and ended up killing one at 7:59 and he respawned and was just another blocker, we missed the side mission by about 5-6 seconds, when you reach the part where you actually must ascend, if you are a warrior, equip frenzy and dont use it, you'll see why the first time

Missions:
Elona Reach = Elonaspitze
Thirsty River = Durstiger Fluss
Dunes of Despair = Dünen der Verzweiflung

Cities:
Augury Rock = Fels der Weissagung
The Amnoon Oasis = Die Oase Amnoon

Color of lines:

i did elon's with henchies after banging my head against it all day long with teams of real people

ignore the timer would be my main advice for that one...the timer ticking in my face made me try to race, and move too quickly when i should have waited. one common mistake i noticed with the real teams is that people were trying to avoid mobs rather than taking them out while they were in groups of 3 or 4, they'd try to run around them and end up having to fight 2 or 3 groups of mobs at once.

haven't done the other two yet...thirsty river sounds like a royal pain!
