The spider from underworld... it shows that you actually know what you're doing.

as for best actual pet.. no idea, whatever you feel like, they all have their ups and downs

The spider from underworld... it shows that you're playing a PvE ranger and can safely be ignored.

I've seen plenty of screens of pets doing decent damage, but in the current metagame, seriously pets (the uber spider or otherwise) don't do anything in tombs but cause the enemy a brief hesitation while they see whether you're IWAY or not.

10 seconds of "Is it IWAY?" in the enemy ventrilo isn't worth giving up an entire character to futility.

I have heard of people winning HoH with all Ranger pet builds, i.e. all the rangers have a pet.
