not to my knowledge as far as ive seen greens drop nearly every time a boss is killed ive only had it happen once were a green didnt drop while in an all player group of 4 tho if you use henchys you have to remember that they get drops as well and they seem to have better luck taking the greens than humans

Yes i think this is true but not when using henchmen. I once went out in a party with me and 4 other henchmen and we went through Grenths Footprint kiling all the boss's over and over and didn't get single drop!

they drops may increase but you have a less chance of it being reserved for you. in the end it balances out.

Take only 4 henches out with you and you will have a 20% chance of getting GREENS. Last time I got lucky and got 2 greens out of killing 5 bosses.

The percentage at which greens drop hasn't quite been confirmed. With a team of 8, I've had runs with no greens, and I've had runs with around 5 or 6 greens. It varies a lot.

Bosses don't always drop greens. I've had greens from a full party of henchmen and none in a pug of 5 persons.

Is there a bug in the new patch or something? I went in with this elementalist the other day who claims this " LFG for farming in SF, I know trick to make green drops from every boss!"
Curious i joined him and formed a party ( he insisted on 7-man team, no less no more...)
But true enough.. we took out around 7 boss including those in GF and every single boss drop greens... I don't know what that elementalist did .. after our 7th boss someone dropped and the elementalist claims the trick doesn't work anymore and on our 8th boss no greens dropped.
I was like WTF?! if anyone know this trick please share , its awesome..

but in guildwar , 7 - man makes no sense... i thought the smaller the group the more drops we get since its spread across only the few people..

i took an 8 man team and one drop before sf in gf we got a 0 greens out of 5 bosses went into sf as a 7 man team killed 3 bosses and 1 green i dont think it matters. Just like a slot machine its a crap shoot. i think each time you have ??% to have a green drop either it does or doesnt.

I don't know about having more people = more greens.. but I have noticed that after spending lots of tiem down there doing quests and farming.. drops turned to crap... so I tried hunting some other places around the world, and came back the next day.. drops had improved.. but it could of just been bad luck then good.. but whatever. I advise taking breaks every once in a while, 1. you won't get as bored, and the drops might just be better.

Okay who here has played WoW (World of Warcraft).

I'll explain anyway.

In WoW nearly anything drops, WoW is based upon items rather than skills and what not. So the better the boots, pants, cape, shoulder pads, rings, etc. Then the better your chracter is who can wear it.

Okay so say you're in a group (I don't think there is a limit really depends on the instance - place where your group is completely seperated from the rest of the world and in thi very hard place, like FoW or UW or SF because anywhere you go someone who isn't in your group can be right by you) and say this really good item drops..

Well you can roll for it. A little window pops up and shows what the item is, then you can either A, roll a die 1-100 and hope that yours is higher and you can get the item. Or B, Don't roll because you don't need it or whatever. So everyone rolls and who ever gets the highest numbers gets the item basically.

Same in GW only it's already done for you. There's a possibility that the boss will drop the item, say there's a 30% chance. Then there's you're possibility to get that item out of a group of five, 20% chance, yet so does everyone else. So if that green even does drop out of that 30% there's still out of five people it can be 'handed' to.

So the less the number of people the higher the chance a green can be given to everyone. But... this doesn't make the difference in the percentage of the Monster's drop rate of a green item What So Ever.

So frost basically it was one hell of a coincidense.. But how many of those greens went to you, see? Who cares if a green drops when you're not the one getting them. =P

I haven't Pug farmed yet, just solo and with henchies... and only gotten two greens for my troubles. Not that I mind too much being that I got a really good purple fellblade from one boss and some decent runes, but hardly any gold or green items fell at all. Haven't even gotten a gold from the chests.

That might do it.

You forget the little message that tells who the drop was assigned too, as well as the lock on the item. I think that the drops do indeed reset after 24h, could be the infamous anti-farming code.

I dont know about any patch but I have noticed that warriors more than not get green drops more than support players. What I want to know is if that you are closer to the boss do you get a green or what? If not is there any good weay to ensure that you get green drops in Sorrows Furnace and Greniths Footprint?

This is a rumor, and I as a Necro, I don't believe it. Another rumor is that you get better drops if you deliver the killing hit. I can't prove that one either way.

Lately, just before a boss dies, I have begun to move right up to the boss (in contact) and deliver the killing blow myself, which is easy for a Necro.

Hasn't helped.

No it's justa rumor with the whole closer to the boss for more likely you'll get drops.

My fiance gets more greens than I do and she's a monk. =P She got three greens in one run while I was a Necro. and still got like two while I was a warrior (No one else in the group got one.) And then at times when I'm a warrior I'm the only one to get greens.. Like my post before it's just random luck =P

I've gone into The Footprint & The Furnace at least 10 times each, this morning I got my first, yes first green drop. I got it shortly after picking up Kilroy Stoneskin and killing a boss in the area just below where you meet him. I exclusively play with henchies 'cause I'm also watching my three kids while I play. I'll often leave my warrior in safe spot for minutes at a time while I go hand out some discipline.
I would bet on a stack of Robert Anton Wilson novels the game is rigged againt henchman users.

I just got back from a 6-man group in which the only two greens dropped for the same person.
So much for balance.

I haven't been to Sorrows or Grenth's for...perhaps almost two weeks and it's still as boring as when i left.

I'll not be pacified by blue scrolls and summit badges.
/annoyed.

Wow...I just got back from a 8-man Orozar run, a total of around 10-11 greens. Everyone got at least one. Rago's Flame Staff, Tanzit's Cleaver...I'm going back again.

I've been in groups where no one got one, and I've been in groups where almost everyone got one. That includes both Footprint and the Furnace itself.

Then again, there are times I've gone in and one person got like 3 greens. It happens.

Of course, having a good group makes all the difference.

lol I don't think the quality of the group matters much on the drops unless your group just DIES before it can kill a boss. Kill a Boss = 1/32 chance on a green drop in a group of 8. With henchies - With a crappy PUG - With a elite farming group. Doesn't matter
