Should monks have the only REZ?

Ok, this has bothered me for a wile, Monks are the only class that can raise your teammates, wile some other classes can do certain things with deaths, and even your corpses, monks remain the only usable class to ressurect a teammate.

Any other class can use these by seconding monk, so this isn't a realy big issue, not being able to rez with other classes, and it isn't what this topic is realy about. I appologize but that's the best discription I could fit in the title.

The other class that has a pentance for death is Necromancer, they use the corpses of enemies and teammates to execute thier best skills. Well heres the thing, in PvE corpse skills are fine, but in PvP many corpse skills get overpowered by the faster casting ones, on the side, monks are the only one that can Rez, and there is this unbearable handicap called DP whenever you die.

My idea (feel free to sue me if you came up with it first) is to make a skill or two for the necromancer that reduces DP by 5 or 10% per cast, it doesn't raise your bonus any, but removes DP a little bit at a time. Let this be soul reaping or death attribute, although it could work in blood. This is a way for classes other then Monk to contribute to the restitution of an allie, not by being able to Rez them, but by being able to lope off some DP a bit at a time. A great deal of DP can end a mission, or even a PvP battle, being able to compensate for deaths to keep your teammates in the game is a powerful and useful tactical advantage. Not only because it it allows necromancers, and /N to help subside deaths, but because it frees up the self sacrifice tactic, Players could intentionally get killed to do damage with death nova, and provide corpses for death skills, knowing that thier team has the ability to reverse thier DP.

Sure it would add a totaly new dimention to gameplay and change the way ppl consider death, I vote for a fresh idea rather then the same combat. With appropriate DP removal % and recast time, as well as cost in energy and or sacrifice, this would be a significant asset to diversifying the tactics and gameplay of GW, as well as share the powers over death between the 2 classes who deserve them, monk and necro, and help subside the massive discomfort of DP.

does rez sig help a non monk?

lets have everybody do everythng...........i want my elmo to control an army of the dead so why should necros be the exclusive holders of that right?

Rez signet is a one time shot, and not a reuseable technique to hold to any class. The use of monk secondary allows anyone to rez a character, having rez for other classes isn't neccissary (and no other class has a rez skill....).

Read the post you newbs, the idea entails the use of DP removing skills for the necromancer.

P.S. Elementist use death moves quite well, having more energy in advance works almost as good as getting alot of energy for each death, and allows them to work even if there arn't any deaths.

but you get rez sigs recharged after every morale boost. and besides monks rarely bring a rez, at least in pvp =p
