ok well, the other day i was in uw and we were doing the 'unwanted guests' quest. anyway, i was an ele/mez, but had a bow equipped just for the heck of it. well, i used my bow to aggro the Keepers. now my question is about the bow is was using, an Eternal Bow. sometimes i had to get inside the aggro circle in order to hit the target, other times i could hit them when i was just outside the aggro circle. so, is an eternal bow considered a short range or medium range bow?
the main reason i am asking this is i need to know the refire rate on an eternal bow. i know that short range bows have a 2 second refire rate, medium range 2.5 seconds, and long range 3 seconds. (correct me if i'm wrong.)
yeah this has been bugging me. i've been testing it, but my results are mixed. can anyone say for sure if eternal bows are short range bows, in addition to the refire rate?

it depends on what the vertical distance between you and your target is. basically, if you shoot at someone up on a hill then duh you probably have to go way inside the agro circle, while if your shooting from a hill you can hit people far away.
im not 100% sure about the refire but i think its the same (or similar) to a longbows refire.

Actually, I'm fairly certain that the Eternal Bow behaves like a Composite or Recurve bow (same stats) even though the graphic is pretty much a see-through longbow. That would mean it has an average range, average refire, but a very nice flight-time. On flat ground its range should be approximately the edge of the aggro bubble. Get some height for the best pulling capabilities.

oh wow i had no idea. w/e who uses them anyway

That is for sure, trust me on that, I've checked all the bows myself and all the info online also says the same.
The only thing that can affect your range is your position, high ground shooting down means you have more range and more damage), firing up means shorter range and less damage.
Smart rangers always try to get themselves on high ground before attacking.
