Before I discovered griffons, I kill the grawls outside of port sledge. Each trip out there would yield dozens of them, and I would average 4-5 blue, purple and the occasional gold armor each run. Mind you, you can't rely on enchantments for the grawls and it takes a while to clear.
I'm curious, why are they hitting you for so much?

One thing... Use Balthazar's Spirit instead of Live Vicariously.
Else the setup is perfect.
At least for skills.
Can't see if you use the right axe/shield, runes, attributes and armor though.

wouldn't balths spirit cause his energy tp degenerate with 3 constant enchantments being on him, and eventually they would fail unless he is constantly taking dmg?

i think this is the time i barly got my glads armor. i dont think i had any runes on at the time

Only problem, can't run too long.
Always a problem, devourer's. And this isn't really a farming 101.
It's just pictures. lol You should try to take on bosses and dev's all at once.

Looks awefully familiar... except that I made it work with hundred blades 
I've reworked the build several times and now use a shot-gun double-smite AE in light of the Balt-Aura nerf. This set-up can kill indefinitely and has no problem with bosses or rockshots (though they're still more trouble to kill than their drops are worth). I'll post a more current picture once I get the chance.

farm in pre searing over the wall, th runes r minor but ive gotten like swordsmanship, strength, div favor, healing, blood, everything, no major but they r common and its easy if u have a tank and a healer.

I complement him for doing a good job and a good deed by informing newer people about farming some. One thing I'm going to add though(not to be mean or anything)... but I find it ironic that the thread is called farming 101 for noobs.. and I was cracked up that the first thing i noticed that dude had a 15% dp. As I said, I dont bring that up to be mean but I dont like when people refer to others as noobs.. so it must be pointed out

Usually when you get killed like that with the Farming 101 build(s) you easily regain the Energy and Health so you can use Balt's Aura. I usually wield collector's Axe and shield and alternate between the non-vamp and vampmod axes so I can attack well.
And yes, the -94 commonly happens when you're at below max health when you first strike, BUT Healing Hands and Mending recovers nearly all of that.
Note: Try it without Healing Hands. You WILL fall more easily

Personaly i think farming griffans is quite boring, but if you adds dolyak signet u can have an instant 0mana skill that will lower thier damadge to 0-3 depending on your build and armor
