Please give us our map dots back! :(

The most recent build took away the red dots from the mini map that show where you've already been. They were very helpful in not getting lost. Can we please have them back? Pretty please?

Are you sure? I remember seeing those dots in places where I've been, but they go away after you leave the area (which makes sense). Did a new build of the game change this?

Yeah, I want the red dots back too. -_- I mean, it's something I can live without but I don't see why they gave them to us, just to take them away. I'm hoping that it was a mistake and will be readded.

Red dots appear on the "M" map, but not on the "U" map.

ditto i want my dots back. used to be on the U and M map, now i haven't noticed them on either (though I'll check the M one when I play in a mo)

I -really- want my little red dots back.

I was driving me completely crazy all of last night not to have them. I've come to rely on the dots to make sure I know where I've already gone this instance.

They took it off the M one too??

Oh, well then, yeah bring them back lol. I just thought they took it off one.





EDIT: You're right, it is off both maps now. That sucks...

I have no doubts they'll be back. ANet wouldn't take them out unless there was something wrong with them. Remember, just because we don't see a problem with something, doesn't mean a problem doesn't exist.

I really want them back too, but if they were causing a problem then I guess they'll have to go for now, but I want at least SOMETHING to mark where we've already been, dots, a small white line... anything o.o; It's hard to tell when you're in the middle of something where you've been and where you're going without them...

Someone just told me they were causing a crash problem or something o_o;

I know! I was going in circles! Why the hell did they take such a useful feature out?!

I thought it was really neat, too.

@_@ I thought it was just cause I was in a new area that it didn't do it there anymore. Oh dear...

Note: To work around a problem in this update, we temporarily removed footprints and the red dots displaying the path taken in the Map Area window. We will restore this functionality in the next update.

At about 9:30CST an update arrived so I could see the dots after restarting the game. They disappeared about the same time I post seared my warrior so I thought it was a post-sear thing lol. Oh, I amuse myself.
