Rare Weapons List

I hope there isn't already a thread about this but the search function doesn't seem to be working for me so here goes...

I was wondering if someone would mind replying with a quick list of the rarest say 4 or 5 types of swords, hammers and axes in order of their rarety?

eg:

why the CRAP isnt chaos axe in that list...

they are cropping up more n more...but they are hard as heck to initial get...

Chaos axes are NOT rare. Raven staffs are actually pretty common, but I haven't seen a GOLD one. Max damage tribals? rare.

they would be, but the 1s listed there r the 1st 3, chaos would come as 6th of the rarest

Raven Staves are common, Max Damage, colored Raven Staves, now that's a rare thing.

I once had a max gold raven staff for a death necro... even had a screeny of it and everything... Probly still in the sell board :P.

could some1 maybe add the estimated prices to the weapons?

so that i know how much to buy that stuff for etc

I salvaged a white sickle, didnt know it was rare. bleh....
But I do have a purple `sundering` max dam fellblade. +10% when in a stance..Of no use what so ever to me (as an ele) Offers anyone ?

Estimated prices for weapons depend on their stats. If you want a rare gold of anything listed and for it to have decent, usable stats, be prepared to shell out hundreds of plat, though, thousands for the rarer ones.

Sundering Fellblade +10 in stance? I'm not sure if purples are any popular, never having seen any advertised, but I'm sure if you spam ingame you might get a few plat.

As for staves, I don't think Shadow Staves are as rare as like the twin-headed Jeweled Staves or those special Earth Staves. Mainly you just get Shadow Staves in the FoW.

ima give rough estimates here based on prices in these forums and spammers in LA

I get max dmg colored Raven Staves all the time...they are garbage and get sold to the merchant. I only saved one and its a smiting staff that my monk uses.

I've got a Max Earth Raven Staff, I'll get a pic in the morning and post it :P

dwarven axes arent that rare... i've atleast gotten 3 max ones but never a tribal axe.

Crap Brute swords are rare? I just sold a max gold one for 1k. Dammit! Poor stats (6% sundering, 16% charrslaying) but still... >_<!

i think brutes look cooler than fells baldes

What would be the rarity of a battlepick? i picked up a gold one yesterday. o.o it looks weird wielding this weapon.

I saw a rare raven staff drop from a chest in SF. That was the confirmation i had been seeking for ages. Everyone i asked said they had never seen one.

I never knew Raven Staves had any rarity to 'em. To me they are ugly as sin but maybe I can get something for this then..



And Sickles are only rare in gold form.. You can get plenty outside of ice tooth cave and from trolls.

Not sure where these prices come from. WAY too high. Max gold on an account is 1 million + 100k on each character. Even with shards/ecto to make up these prices its still out of wack.

Prices have decreased dramatically for most items since GREEN items were introduced.

You can buy a GOLD un-id fellblade/chaos axe/etc for around 50k. Granted, the mods may be awesome or total crap.

It is quite hard to make a sale now even with stormbows, chaos axes, fellblades and other of the "cool" looking items. I have a gold max 10/10 sundering, +20% enchants, +13% dmg stormbow and cannot find a reasonable offer for it so i just use it. Also have max gold chaos axe with decent mods that i cannot sell.

I think the economy may go back to normal once everyone realizes GREENs are not that hard to get, and IMO they are boring(unless they have a unique graphic). I would much rather put together my own item than get a premodded item that every joe-schmo can get. Same thing goes for collector items... plain boring.. albeit the mods are excellent but for PvE those dont really matter, looking cool is more fun.

As far as rarity goes.... the only item I find hard to get is a crystalline sword. I have found 2 so far, both purple, both in SF, both with crappy mods.

Eternal shields are common. In a solo run in UW I can normally haul out about 8 of them, Less in a group of course.. but thats quite common.

Storm/Eternal bows are about the same as eternal shields. Many drop in UW.

Chaos axes drop frequently in FoW.

Fellblades drop anywhere in the latter part of the game, but I find the Fire Island and FoW best for these, with SF coming in third.

Raven staffs drop alot all over the place.

I think someone mentioned the something jeweled staff thats quite rare, I have only seen 1 person using this item so far. had to ask what it was.

Having said all this.....i would say that most things are easy to find given the right area is being searched. BUT finding a GOLD one with GREAT mods, now thats the hard part. If i had to pick the 2 rarest items in the game... I would pick Crystalline Sword and Sephis Axe. Another worthy mention is a Mursaat Hammer. Rarely see people using this hammer(although like many others, farely easy to find white ones or crap ones)

gold sephis axes drop almost all the time in Gates of Kryta quest from the drakes. I wouldn't call gold sephis axes, rare at all. But max ones are pretty rare. IMO the rarest items in this game are (If there are actually ones out there) max dmg sickle and tribal axe. Good luck looking for a gold one for either of those 2 LOL.

Yes they have, but crystallines and scickles (cant really price scickles anyways cos they hardly exist) have NOT dropped, not by 1 bit, demand for them is still high as hell. Altho all other items have taken a steep fall

While I'll agree that building your own weapon can be fun, its also extremely expensive, which is partly why the Green's were introduced in the first place. To be an inexpensive way to get a perfect weapon, so that the people charging an arm and a leg for everything would get a huge wake up call.

Sadly this has barely happened, and prices are still way too high.

Green items can be had for 5K - 20K in lions arch, and they're perfect weapons. 5K is a pittance. Anyone who's got any business carrying a weapon like that can afford it.

Perfect max gold items are rare & expensive, but gold max slightly-less-than-perfect are not.

The rarity list posted is pretty weird. Whoever made it has spent a lot of time farming the UW (because he underestimates the rarity of UW items) and not much time farming Ring of Fire islands (because he overestimates RoF items, like Magmas Shield) or Mursaat areas (ditto).

But, again, perfect max = a whole different issue.

I haven't heard, but are the various "green" items obtained in SF supposed to be parts of "weapon/sheild/item sets" that when all are possessed and equiped, imbue the character with extra/special defence/offence/etc? The green items I've seen so far, haven't impressed me much, in-and-of themselves. They seem to be overpriced on the trader's market, to me.

The rarest item in the game (imo) is a max damage Maul of Sauron. To see what this hammer looks like, go to the Eastern Gates. Go to the area to the west where there are Grawls. Look for a collector there, you need 3 Charr carvings.

If I understood you right, I went out into the Eastern Frontier from the Frontier Gate, went northeast thru a few grawl to a collector named Paige Osboourne. She wants Charr carvings alright, but the maul that she offers is not max damage and is called Ascalon Maul of Fortitude; a very good hammer at this early stage of the game and not bad for later on either. Not sure if Maul of Sauron is still available after the recent game updates.

That part is so wrong. You are including "sickle" even thought you don't know if it exists in max damage form, but since nobody has ever seen even a max white one (or tribal axe), that shouldn't even be on the list. If you were going by that philosophy, it would read:

1. Sickle
2. Trible Axe
3. Serpent Axe

Sephis on there? Please. I see these being sold ALL the time (max, gold, and with every possible dmg mod, etc.). Besides, these aren't even axes, they are shovels.

I think:
1. Serpent
2. Dwarven
3. Sephis (I guess? but it's still ugly ).

And whoever said Chaos Axe is rare has never been to the Fissure of Woe.

My list applies for "max damage known-to-exist" weapons.

Yes, a max damage version of the "Ascalon Maul of Fortitude" does exist, but it is under the name "Maul of Sauron". I've seen several people with them and max. One was purple, one was gold.

I have a blue 15 armor req 9str magmas shield - quick recovery from blind. Is that worth anything?
