This screenshot was taking at the Great Wall in Pre-Searing Ascalon. It's the Great Wall, and the doors are open but you can't actually go through them! I had to fight a large group of Charr to get there and sneak past even more with one of my buddies in the game.

I don't know how common it is to get there, but I thought you might enjoy seeing something that was pretty hard to get too. Maybe this should be in the screenshot exposition...

Ya, this is far into the northlands past the initial gate. Me and my friend had made it into the gates and past all of the Oakhearts and Several groups of Charr (by taking out their shaman and then taking out the close range fighters slowly).

I never get around to asking anyone to help me go north. I guess after I get a few more quests done with my ranger (aka 2nd set of buffs for primary). I'll go look. There is so much coolness in the pre-searing area. Cool discovery....

Did you try standing at the door and shooting the lever with an arrow? If you were a good ranger you could make that shot and open the door for yourself. The king is looking for a few good men with that sort of skill. you could get yourself a ticket to the big festive dinners that the king has on sundays if you made that shot. And if you get an invite you should remmeber you good buddy who gave you the tip that got you there. I like lamb chops.

I just found out that the place I was at is actually the place you see the large ceremony happen with the charr during the searing! And the gate I was at was just behind it. I will post screenshots tonight of the altar before the searing.

Many people have already killed all the Charr in that area, it just takes some careful targeting and little objection to getting killed many times as you suicide bomb the mobs. You can actually visit pre-searing Piken Square there as well, but that's pretty much all there is to see.

Oh, some screen shots of the pre-searing Piken Square would be nice if someone is around.

Yeah, I got here and hit the dreaded 'invisible wall' while trying to climb the stairs nearby

I don't think people were meant to get very far in that zone. I believe it is mainly used for that one quest and then used for the cutscene.

After 3 tries at the Charr, a friend and myself were able to finally defeat them. And i know people have posted this before, but it just felt that good to finally beat the crap out of them.

And now: The customary dance on their corpses pics!
