I could be wrong, b/c I'm not a warrior, but it should be in the city of Ascalon post-searing. You can craft your armor with gold and materials

I got my first upgrade in Ascalon. The Ascalon set. Then when I got to Yaks bend I spent nearly 1500G in gold and supplies to get all Galdiator armor. It's great because it gives me the extra n-r-g i need. In total its 8+ in my energy bar, so it does help quite a bit.
