Runners are annoying in the arena. Normally I wouldn't deal with people like that long but I wanted to stick with the team I had. This runner specifically had every skill meant for running like it says in the chat. But it's not just him. Ever since Faction was raised, idiots started playing PvP and it's become more and more annoying. Anyone know of any "fixes" A-Net will be making for this?

I know of a fix, slow him down.

I'm a healer monk and I had damage dealers on my team. Not everyone wants to bring slow downs specifically for idiots.

I'm not angry, it just seems like there is an abundance of idiots out there now just draining the life out of PvP. When it's a few people like it was before, alright no prob. But now it's like every other battle if not every battle. I didn't say "nerf" anything, maybe put a TKO up or something(whoever has more energy at the end wins except for that lava arena). Vengeance is only used when I need to get someone up fast, it's decided battles before.

This is why I only PvP in UT, Quake, or any other FPS. Let's see the runner out-run a rail slug or lightning beam to the head!

Yes... yes... and just because something is counterable and bla... it doesn't mean it is okay now does it? I thought this would be the MOST overused argument on Guildwarsguru seeing how every skilldiscussion is put aside by this argument.
Anyways, back to topic.
Runners are annoying and unlike some asshats like to spit out... not every class can do something about them. To the one with "I Make Nerds Mad". By griefing others on purpose, you simply show that you've got by far superior mental issues than simply being a computer nerd.

if this is in CA, why put up with it. see someone already left, hes smart enough not to deal with these nubs. in TA, you need to reconsider why your playing with him. im quoting myself here, something i really love, but it just makes sense here.

Then why play in the Random Arena? =P Try to get a team in the team Arena.. There's not much you can really do. There will always be 'idiots' and I know that's annoying but hey you deal with it... Maybe something will happen to stop it.. I doubt it though.
For now just play in different arenas and try to play with guildies if you have any.

Noone left buddy, the guy never came in. It was 3v3 technically since that runner couldn't attack. Teaming up takes time plus I like just hopping into battle, though you'll even get runners in Team Arenas surprisingly. I'm not posting this to be a flame topic, nor to complain. It's more of a humor type of thing, while I do HATE it and do want it to stop, it's just so funny how people do it in the first place, just to make people angry that they probably won't ever see again. By the way, we won, the guy's plan was to make us bored but instead we made him bored.

If I compete PvP, I'll bring a trapping skill just incase. If there are runners in the match and started running away from us, I'm just going to set traps everywhere. Then when the opponent runs into the trap, he's knock down. Then everyone attack him. MASSACRE!!! Muhahahaha

Take my idea I posted earlier. Bring a trapping skill just incase you compete with runners. If you don't have any trap skills, abush the runner and attack from all sides. That would be fun!

I know what you mean, Tyrant. That's why I don't like gw PvP, it RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOin' blows compared to what GW has the potential to implement. They could have massive battles, true FAIR PvP (since everyone's lvl 20, no high lvls ganking low lvls like in other RPGs). Instead they go with shitty arena style PvP, either two small teams, or more small teams, it's still boring, pointless, and unmotivated. Especially when one guy who wants to be a dick can ruin it. That's why countdown, go at it, arena style PvP, blows.

Exactly. It's not so much that I mad that there're runners, it's that it seems that since GW is based around PvP, it just doesn't seem so developed.
