Anything to Ride for Transportation?

At first I thought that those Ostriche looking birds outside the gate were used for quicker transportation to and fro. I learned that I could'nt and that they would get pissed if I attacked them. Is there any mode of transportation other than the teleporting from key places on the map of which I wish they had more? I mean booking long miles on foot get tiresome at times. I'm just glad that there is'nt a stamina or endurance meter like in Diablo 2. Currently my guy must have run the equivalent to 10 NY Marathons and has'nt lost a heartbeat.

Pretty much running. I bet all the GW characters (at least the smart players) have marathon runners by now, at least from running away from an army of monsters.

Play EQ2 and we'll see how much you like to run places lol

Teleport is way nicer, I'd be pretty happy with that.

Heh, I had a bunch of those Snow Rock fellows chasin me in Wizard's Follly. Finally they got enough hits of Cold Slow down that they were all upon me, about 10 of them and snuffed out my life.

I learned a good way, kind of cowardly way to cheat death. Just about when you are about 15 pts away from certain death, press M to get the map and teleport to safety. Bad thing is that I was at the Wizard's Folly and I was out of map sight of the Abby or the Town on the map.
