Upside and Downside of a hammer.

When i first started playing GW, i used a sword, then moved slowly onto an axe, and now i am in love with hammers.
The damage is brilliant and the spells arent bad, i just cant see why people prefer them the least.

What do u guys think?

They're not preferred the least. Swords are.

Actually I see lots of newbies using swords...

Swords are efficient if 3 requirements are met...

Hits are consistent [not blocked/evaded]
Bleeding stays for as long as possible
Enemy is of high armor type (cause of high min. dmg requirement)

As far as weapon statistics are concerned I believe they're balanced in terms of how many are using them.

Some would say that axe and sword users are equalling in numbers but hammers are still used by a lot.
