I'm an older gamer (35+ ) and I love to come home after a hard days work and kick back with a good game to unwind. Up until a few days ago my game of choice was WoW. It used to be an enjoyable game until Blizzard nerfed every class that I played, and now they have the so-called "honor system" that rewards players for ganking other players.
Long story short... I have problems with high blood pressure to begin with, and getting ganked by a stealthed rogue every freakin 5 minutes was making me so frustrated that I just knew I was close to popping a vein in my forhead and dying.
I have been waiting for GW to come since the first time I read about it. I love the fact that pvp is in a controlled environment and that everyone has a fighting chance to win!
Guild Wars helps me to unwind in the evenings (along with a 6 pack) and I'm really enjoying this game.
Wong... out
Guild Wars saved my life!

I agree with you! Though i have never played WoW, i've heard about the so called honor system...but anyway.
I used to play UO, way before they started to do all sorts of nastiness to the game. Loved it...actually missed it. But then along came GW...spent all day (at work) reading up on it and then went out, bought it on my way home and havent really stopped playing it. well...had to stop playing for insane reason such as work and school...but still. So, i guess i dont know where i was going with this, must be my ADD kicking in...OOO Look shiny red ball!!!

I actually sold my copy of WoW to buy Guild Wars. WoW is just so repetitive.... I love having quests that are so involving with a bonus in-game cut scene after it! It just feels like a much better reward than a few silver and some xp... plus, though I haven't tried the PVP yet in this game... it's GOTTA be better than WoW seeing as how in WoW unless you are high lvl, PVP is more of PVFree since you are just free kills (or honor points now) for any higher lvl enemy toon running by. So anyways, here's to your health! *cheers*

Once they start poping out these 6 month expansion packs, in 2 years this game will have ALOT of content. I bet this game will be one of the better OnlineRPGs. I just stopped playing SWG for this ever since the CU SWG had stunk, and this game is very refreshing.
Although my one wish is if guildwars devs took Knights of the old Republic and made it like Guildwars!

Don't wait any longer, make a pvp character and go fight. I'm not a big fan of pvp but it's a lot of fun in this game.

Are you guys nuts?
GW isent relaxing. Just try running Elona, or Dunes. Or Aurora Glades. GW is freakin stressful compared to WOW. You can spend 2 hours and then, due to a small mistake, waste it by dying at the end of a mission. Seriously, you'll take back everythin you said, and want to kill yourself, when you get to the Desert.

the missions are fine imo, i dont mind repeating missions over and over again since they are fun and u can get richer by playing them again. I played gates of kryta around 6 times before i won it and i was pretty happy, got a lot of money from drake farming there.
