about hall of heroes

u get a team, fight some NPC ghosts. if you win u go into a new map and fight other teams (you can skip maps however), if you get far enuff (or skip enuff) you go to the Hall of Heroes map where you have to Capture the Altar and make sure the other team doesn't get it. if you win a chest comes down and you either get really good items, or a Sigil.
to the best of my knowledge the hoh item drop is 3 sigils and 2 rare items. assigned randomely meaning you could theoretically get all 5 but ive never seen that happen.
there are ___ maps in the hoh. if you just focus on the maps leading up to the hoh all the computer does is pair you up with anyone else waiting for an opponent in the closest map to where you are.
so if you number the maps 1-9, where 10 is the hoh... assume you are on map 2. the ai will find _any_ team that is also waiting for an opponent, and match you up with them on a map that is at least #3. when you 'skip' all that means is the only available person is on a higher map than you, and instead of making you wait for some 10 minutes the computer pairs you with those guys on THEIR next map, meaning a jump for you and no jump for them.
the hoh is unique in that there is only 1. while their may be like 100 uw matches going on at the same time, there is only 1 hoh, so you *have* to wait until the current match finished to get in their, hence the vault where you sit and wait for them to finish.
my advice: go and play in it. its really not complicated at all

See thats the trouble with this game. 90% of all people say, looking for an EXPERIENCED group. Well, do I need to remind you all that at some point none of you had experience? I realize winning is important, but it doesnt take a whole team of so called experienced players to win there. 1 in a group can be enough to lead you to victory. But hey, who cares right? So long as the "experienced" players get in there who gives a crap about the other guys. It might just be my personality, but Ill take whoever, whenever, on any mission or what have you. If you die, so be it.
there are 8 maps before hoh and they run in order.
underworld (1v1)
burial mounds (1v1)
broken tower (1v1 altar)
scarred earth (1v1v1v1)
unholy temples (relic run)
dark chambers (1v1)
the courtyard (1v1v1 altar)
sacred temples (relic run)
then comes the vault if you complete sacred temples, where you simply run around and do nothing and wait until the hall of heroes battle is done, when you proceed to enter the next match.
then the hall of heroes is an altar match where the holding team (the team that won the last round) starts out with their ghost on the altar. it can be 1v1, 3-way, 4-way, or 5-way. if it is 4-way, 2 of the teams need to fight each other in the beginning in order to proceed to the altar. if it is 5-way, 4 of the teams (every team but the holding team) need to battle in a 1v1 before proceeding to the altar. in the end, 3 teams usually end up battling for the altar and 2 of the teams trying to organize a gank on the holding team. the drops come after you win and are as mentioned above.

I posted this a while ago. It's a little outdated because you no longer get 6 teams on the obelisk map and you no longer get a 3 team rumble on the 1v1 -> 3 team map.
