No 15k Gladiators Helmet?. . . Then which to choose now?

I've recently completed my 15k Gladiator Armor set and realized that there's no helmet, and I'm torn between buying an Ascalon 15k helm (for looks) or a Dragon 15k helm (for purpose. It has +1 strength, which i need, but i can always use a rune of minor strength). So, in the end, should it come down to looks or purpose? Ascalon or Dragon?

Knights or 1.5k/15k ascalon helm looks good with 15k gladiators, i suggest u not get the 15k dragon as it is 1 of the most UGLYYY helms in the game.
however, if u have quite abit of spare cash in ur pockets, heres an armour combo that looks OMFGBBQUB3RPWNZ0R3S!!!

You'll want either the Leutenant's helm from Denravi (before that shit's removed like the denravi sword) or a +weapon helm. If you really care about looks, get a FoW +weapon helm.

I got my Lieutenant's Helm in storage, all safe and secure. Unfortunately, the only FoW helms are Ascalon and Wyvern. I'll stick to my cruddy brown weapon helms.

BTW, couldn't I always change a 15k Ascalon Helmet with +1 Tactics to a 15k Ascalon Helmet with +1 Strength by using a Rune of Minor Stength?

Not quite. If you already have a Strength rune on they won't stack. And the rune just adds to the existing mod, it doesn't replace it.

But would I still get the +1 Strength if I did put a rune?

I need 11 strength to use a shield of mines and I only have 10 Strength, so I usally put a rune on my helmet. Would the +1 Strength still be in effect?

If the helmet is +1 str then from 10 you got 11
If u put a minor str rune on it, you will go from 11 to 12.
When you buy the helmet it doesnt have a rune on it, it has a bonus which is +1 str. Adding the rune will give you an extra +1 str.
