In all fairness, our site hasn't been public for all that long, either. Factor in that there are already sites out there that have huge forums (such as TGH,) which people are more likely to have ended up at first.
If this site ever reaches Official or Elite, i'd expect to see a spike in the amount of users because of it - as a new player looking for fansites as a source of further information/discussion, they won't immediately see anything different in our listing from all the other "News and Forums" sites. I suspect that a large percentage of our existing user base is here only on word of mouth - either as a result of the site's content, or the people that are running it.

I'm here because THX is hot.

well im routing for you to get to elite or official! i love this site! well i didnt mean it as an insult or anything, but more like a compliment lol

i simply visited several sites and started at ogaming but this is much more informative and congenial

i do not need the *status* of a big site

small or large the information and order is what i enjoy

if i can help someone i consider it a bonus

I found this site because the Guild Wars site has it listed as:

And thats the only one listed

well if we are all saying where we found out about the site, i found out about it when i voted for dragon assassins in like the top website thing, and at the top it said "guildwars guru the only site that looks good in a bikini" so i had to come visit, yet i still have not even seen a bikini

I didn't post to say where I found the site. There was a post about this site becoming elite or official. While it doesn't have that status, it is listed by itself at the top of the forums page at guildwars.com which is a nice distinction. And yes I know 'site' is singular

I am here because it is thefirst link on the fan site list on GuildWars' main site's FAQs. So yeah, it helps people to find an awesome place and stick with ti when you are the first place they check. And liek Spooky said, since they haven't been up too long(I didn't knwo that It is fair to say they have alot of memebres (which they do!) especially since its only been a short period of time. that is a great ammount of members. Godo job, keep up the good work, admins.

official sites are sites who have been recognized by arena.net to offer great information and have great staff. I believe the elite sites are granted that status by arena.net for having gone above and beyond the call of duty in creating their sites.

Even though we have some fairly well respected individuals on staff here (namely THX, Saus, and Spooky) we've still got to earn our stripes just like every other site out there. I think it speaks highly that we're the current recommended site however.
