I recently posted on another thread 'get married, have children' ... I was only joking Mr Frog Still, I look forward to anything that makes my characters lives more 'complete'.

Auction houses - fanflippintastic!

I believe 'subdivision' is an Americanism for 'housing estate'.

The beauty of it would be, if done smartly, that you don't know what time of day/night it is until you enter your instance. Builds that would own the diurnal creatures could come up quite short if you find yourself out at night.

Of course, then you'll have the incapables that keep respawning to try and get the time of day they want.

All sounds good except upgrade traders. I hate traders as they always drive down the prices. (i.e. rune traders appeared & rare material traders)

I love NPC traders since they give me the chance to sell some stuff, too. I hate trading with human players since it would force me to get informed about prices and stuff and I really lack the patience to yell "WTS: Holy Crap" in LA1 for the better part of a day. If I wanted to do stuff like that I'd become a salesperson in real life. NPC traders mean instant business and somewhat fair prices. Roll them on!

No in-game housing? That would have been fun, but hard to incorperate. Maybe in the chapter after this chapter?
Does anyone know when this chapter is supposed to come out, please PM me your response.

Last time Gwen destroyed the world. This time she's gonna give people candy, which is worth 1g at the merchant. However, they will have a candy trader. If you have a Twix, hold on to it. The prices will jack up to 50k before Anet gives the trader reset. If you got something like 100Grand or Butterscotch, you might as well drop it in presearing.

"New Year"? with a capital 'N' and a capital 'Y'? does that mean that chapter 2 will be out as early as January 2006?

ok, ok I see I hit a nerve. So, I'll give my 2¢ on why I hate traders. (Not that anyone really cares about my opinion!) The problem I see with adding traders is that they make it possible for someone who puts no time into the game to acquire items that took myself and others a lot of time to find. I like to have some uniqueness to myself and have stuff that is rare. Now, there also remains the fact that traders buy at shotty prices. If the traders would give you the actual going rate for stuff then I could possible be for it. As of now however they do not. I mean come on 250G for a perfect 16>50 Axe?! Really… I hate selling too! Either posting here or taking time in LA to spam in trade chat but the fact remains a little time doing that I can net an easy 100x what the merchant will give me. Now the trader suggested here wouldn’t affect the prices of shields yet but if ANET does what everyone hopes and allow shields to have mods then it will. All I really care about is getting what stuff is worth and being able to have stuff that others do not.

I don't read All of the threads! And I'm talking about in the expansion pack, not a game update. I mean what is the point in gaining xp after you hit level 20? And some people like/enjoy fighting for that next level! It's not that big a deal, just a question.

Every indication is they will not be raising the level cap. Guildwars was designed to be based off of skill > grind. 1/2 in Pve if you do all the quests / missions you will be lvl 20. The rest is getting skills. Monsters range 20-30 latter on so the focus is not "how do I play" x class but now how do I use my skill tacitly.

They will have more challenging monsters and new skills to go with them.

I like the idea of upgrade traders.

Some people may like the feeling that they have unique items and they can set crazy prices for them, but they said there may be an auction house to sell unique items to people find at a FAIR price and hopefully stop some rip-offs Ive seen (although I do still believe you deserve it if your foolish enough to pay 70K for a +30hp sword upgrade).

Im really looking forward in particular to the shield mod upgrade trader, but no good farmer need worry because Im sure they will be well priced (like sup runes) and would in fact set the rate for a lot of items found in game making it a fairer platform as everyone would have a standard to compare to (the trader). Having said that I think the upgrades should be expensive enough not to bring the market down too low as to make it unworthy for the people to take the time to search for items that you may end up really appreciating being sold to you. In short thry should be expensive enough that you could custom build your sword + shield or whatever but would not be cheap.... 15k armour springs to mind...maybe there should even be a craft element to upgrades like with armour so that there is still a market for the ingredients to keep people happy again like 15k armour?
