My 4-man group
Hugh Snyder
I've had really good luck with 4-man farming
Basically it was;
Stance Tank W/* Maxed out tactics, rest in hammer/sword/axe mastery. I usually run with Gladiator's Defence, Defensive Stance, and Bonetti's defence. I cycle through them. If i have a lot of carvers or knights on me, I preferably use glad's defence for the extra +31 damage upon block. Defensive stance is great for the archers. Also, I go after the necro enemies (aka corpse stealers) first. Just make sure you keep all of the enemies in the same group and don't wander out of the monk's range.
Minion Master N/* minion armies are key for this success. When forming a minion army of 15+ horrors, it's like a constant aegis. I don't really have to use my stances when we have a large enough army. The only drawback of this is there isn't much recharge time for the ele and monk, because of the constant health drain of the horrors.
Echo Nuker E/* Glyph of energy + arcane echo+meteor storm. This is the heart of damage for this squad. A strong ele is probably the biggest part in the group. The warrior won't do a whole lot of damage, it's the nuker that will. EDIT: I forgot to add that it's extremely nice for this nuker to take maelstrom to interrupt all the healing :P
Monk Mo/Me - Constant healing is required to keep the tank alive. With the stances, the warrior is basically invincible against arrows and physical damage, however, he can aquire some nasty health degeneration with phantasm, poinson, and life siphon.
The tank needs to be an effective puller, so patrols won't wander around into the aggro circle of the tank OR the horrors. Regardless, our drops have been horrible :P

Tank...more efficient in SF by holding a gear. In which case, you'll have to get Adrenal another way.
pagansaint
You gain adrenaline when hit, not just when you hit. So he could have a bit of down time to build adrenaline for his bonnetti's.

I bring Bonetti's, but the gain is so slow when not hitting anything that without something like Balth's Spirit it's not really worth it. I get Bonetti's off once every few minutes, not nearly fast enough to cycle with other stances. Stance tanks should be focused on staying alive, not on attacking. Points in weapons should be an afterthought after armor-adding skill lines like Earth and Strength.

I usually To The Limit! to gain four easy stroke of adren, and let baltha spirt do the rest
Besides, I have enough down time because Gladiator's Defence and Defensive Stance are both energy based (both costing 5)

Defensive Stance takes too long to cycle just with Glad Defense and Bonetti's. If you have Balth Spirit you could probably just cycle Bonetti's and Glad's. Were I not gear running I'd just use Glad's, Shield Stance, and Bonetti's.

i run Dolyak Signet on my warr when im playing gear trick tank
and also, my subclass is ranger - melandrus resilience - saves ur monks TONS of healing, as theres lots of hex + condition in SF
i've done runs with a ranger as the geartrick guy as well, didnt have to be a warrior, rangers have some pretty good stances that up elemental defense as well as giving 75% block, combined with melandrus resilience, rangers actually tank much better than some tanks in SF

i used to farm w/ my necro in a 3 man team - 1 good stance/dmg war, 1 heal monk, and my mass army minion necro. needless to say the drops were less than ideal lol, and now w/ all the patches i'm sure it's not worth the time. it's much more effecient to run a well oiled killing machine of 5-6 people, with either 1 or 2 eles and my necro =)
as i'd rather kill rago and brohn every 30 min than kill them every 60-90 min but possibly splitting the drops 3 ways.
