What kind of a dumbass, really, tells me to go ahead and report them to ArenaNet for scamming? And when I say, I'm screenshotting this conversation as well (for more evidence, of course), he tells me to "Go ahead. noob."

Maybe I should have posted the next screenshot I took, where his "best friend" starting pm'ing me begging not to report him, told me he would pay me in full for him (I only charged 4K for a Beacons Perch to Sanctum Cay run - stopping at Kryta, LA, Seaboard, Hot Springs, Beetletun, ToA, Fishermans Haven, and Sanctum Cay - I mean come on). To me, it's not really about the money. I farm when I want pure cash. But I like to help people sometimes, and running is fun.
Is it possible the "accused one" bragged to his friend, and his friend let him know the real deal with scamming and reporting? I don't know. What I do know is, when I scammed someone (a long time ago, mind you) - I accepted pre-payment for a run and did not complete it - that I felt the mighty hand of ArenaNet and their enforcement of the Rules of Conduct (which rule #1 is, you may not defraud other players). Of course, being the first violation, I got a slap on the wrist and a two-hour temporary ban from the network.
I hope all you wanna-be scammers and current scammers take heed. Not every runner knows HOW to report people, but I do. And I do. Don't think you will get away with it. The runner is providing a service, and whether you like it or not, you will pay - in one way, or another. Unless it's free of course (which I do sometimes).
