Duelist Skull Cracker [omg]
Yukito Kunisaki
Yeah, this one I've read about and must cap the elite to see how devastating he'd be... Let's look...
12+1+3 Swordsmanship
8+1 Strength
10 Inspiration
Sever Artery
Gash
Galrath Slash
Skull Crack {E}
Frenzy
Sprint
For Great Justice!
Drain Enchantment
Definitely a team oriented build that probably won't get much done if in CA randomness...
Trying to find a way to make Skull Crack not take so long to charge is a tough trick to try, but if done right, at least for the duration of FGJ, you can daze 3 people if frenzied hits land cleanly.
Obviously, condition removal and hex/conditions on myself is probably going to stop the build utterly but the mesmer half will allow you to cut through things like Armor of Earth and the like...
Not meant to do too much damage, the Sever,Gash,Galrath is still feasible under the right conditions. SkullCrack was really meant for those very pesky skills like hard res [yeah, who brings that] and ele or mes spells that strike AOE causing massive pain...

Why don't you use Savage Slash and Distracting Blow in conjunction with Skull Crack?
2 interrupts that can easily throw a caster out of his rhythm while dazed and stop some critical heals/spells from getting off.

Skull Crack makes baby jesus cry, a lot (as in it's terrrrrrible).
Man With No Name
It does sound great in theory but Skull Crack is indeed utter pants
They need to add a non-removable daze AND lower the adrenaline cost significantly -- at least sword's might bring it :S
As it stands you charge it up and then either miss the interupt -- wasting the skill or more likely the daze gets removed by another foe.
Just another broken Warrior skill, along with Warrior's Cunning and DBS along with all the shouts and stances with their stupidly high charge times.

If anything I'd say this skill is best in Comp Arena -- due to the lack of skilled monks -- both in number and in preparation.
Racthoh
Arcane Conundrum would help a lot. Build the adrenaline first then drop it on them, they try to remove it and you slap them with daze.
Red Locust
9 adrenaline elite attack that will get patched up in seconds...
Two thumbs down, mate. Maybe it'll work in arena, although <1s monk spells are atrociously difficult to catch with melee attacks.

Why not use B.S. instead of frenzy? too...

Berserker Stance ends when you use a skill and has a really long downtime. These aspects of it make it garbage for PVP.

That sounds good, ah, but the energy, THE ENERGY!!!
Tested the build with an Arcane Con. user in TA recently. DEFINETLY hot if I can use FGJ before hand.
In 8v8, I'd beg for Fevered Dreams or something from a team mate to make it work...
Hopefully, should Dazed land, the other monk who'll try to remove it will get dealt with by my team accordingly. He should be incapable of removing the Dazed when I land it.

True, attempting to make a build work around a blah* elite is just something I do when bored. Surprisingly, it works well if my team can take out their condition removal. Which isn't really that hard.

Crack is good in the arena, since often the monk is on his own, and has absolutley no chance if your smacking him with ias on. I usually use concussion shot instead, but the second i hit it i spam ctrl+click and scream dazed in teamchat... people usually react accordingly.
FGJ!, doesnt do it for me at the moment... savage slash would be nice whilst your waiting for crack to charge, but obviously its usless past the dazed stage.
With a zealous weapon, you dont need the energy management from drain, so i would say w/n with rend would be the better choice, in case e.g. aotl necro comes up against you.
Final Thrust maybe in there somewhere as well...?

if you really love the dazed condition its far easier for a ranger to use concussion shot than it is for a warrior to pull off skull crack. so... im not sure i see this build doing much.
and actually this might do alot better IN ca where alot of teams simply dont have condition removal, making the dazed condition actually last more than about 3 seconds.

Mesmer offhand, who attacks a warrior anyway?
Mesmer friend with Arcane, AND Fevered Dreams. Or, when the other monk tries to remove it you smack that monk with a Concussion Shot from your ranger pal.

Yukito if you want me to share with you an axe war version of this type of build.. just give me a pm letting me know.. it uses axe/domination and has been very very effective.... using swords just gets annoying... for this build it can be very difficult to pull off sometimes!

Tried using Skull Crack with axes. I like Evis too much and when I saw the results, not good. Sword just works better.

obviously you can only do cookie cutter stuff man.. because if you are using skull crack you are no longer a damage dealer but an interrupter/dazer. Using skills like disrupting chop... with this are very effective. Try to use domination in conjunction with both of these and you have a power house combo(that works)
rii
If you daze a called target, using disrupting chop is a waste of 6adrenaline. They are interrupted whenever hit, so the chance of you hitting the skill before anyone else is small. Swords are good because they have a solid interrupt which can be mixed with distracting blow to give consistent interrupt before you hit the daze.
If i wanted to use anything with daze, it would be conundrum. The increased casting time from daze plus this plus rampant saturation of the target with wands and weapons alike enough to stop anything getting through, even rofs. Of course thats a bit overkill i suppose.

the whole idea is that if you are using daze you are going after the protection monk... or the secondary monk. Then in this instance you are by yourself... and using disrupting chop on one of their skills disables it for 20 seconds...(which is longer than 15 seconds...blah blah blah...). Before you type out instanced situations ^ think about it for a second and why someone would want to use disrupting chop in pvp... if it lands it devastates! Plus in a build using domination as a secondary... skills such as power leak and shame(or guilt if you aiming for mesmers and ele, or the ocasional smiter) will make any skill they use while dazed cost them either 20 energy(at 10 in dom) or take 11 energy from them with shame.

Interesting you say that. I dare you try to come up with something BOTH effective and original and NOT get flamed to a crisp. I've done tons of non-consistent original builds and their efficiency just isn't up to snuff...
Cookie cutter stuff is cookie cutter because IT WORKS WELL DAMNIT!!

what about... having one person on the team use only spirits/BiP, have him constantly killing himself, but make all the monks on your team n/mo with soul reaping?
ohh i said too much >.<
ohh i said too much >.<

Yeah, then a dedicated me/mo fast cast resser to bring him back, who is constantly ressing. bip is good since for 1 elite and a bit of extra healing your monks e supply is almost unlimited. The same is from this, except you have to dedicate two characters to do it. I tried it once, even with another necro to exploit the corpses for all kinds of stuff. It was still a waste. Perhaps with a dark fury and ji on the me/mo you migh have something.

Hmm, i've seen dazed work in CA pretty well, because i usually concussion the only monk, then when i see mend ailment go off i shoot him, and interrupt mend ailment with distracting shot. after that, it's bye-bye monk. but yeah, in 8v8 it's more useless than a 16 fire meteor-shower "nuker."

I *love* the dazed condition. Whenever I can, I slip Concussion Shot onto my ranger's skill bar. Skull Crack is a tough one to use though... hard to land the attack during a spellcaster's cast, hard to keep dazed on the target, and hard to daze them again (have to charge up the adrenaline). Its a noble concept, Yukito, but I feel that Skull Crack taking up the elite slot and being very hard to use to its full effect makes it less than ideal to base a build around. However, if you do ever get an Illusionist Mesmer to team up with you who has Arcane Conundrum and Fevered Dreams, that would be a fearsome combo . I'm trying to find one to pair up with my ranger so I can try out a condition-er ranger idea I have...
smurfhunter
look, rii, its fun. you have no idea the potential a minion team has if their monks have an unlimited energy supply and on demand wells of profane, etc. *shudder*
