Prices: Going back up, or just Morons?
Lately Ive been seeing people in LA 1 selling things for ridiculous amounts of money, such as a 5/1 Vampiric hammer haft for 75k. Yet at the same time, there are monk farmers selling them for 15k. One person in praticular (The first part of their name is someone who saves people, the second part is another word for persons: Initials HP). I see him selling average things for insane prices, and he claims to get bids on things that i would normally value at half of the bid. The worst of this would ahve to be someone selling a 20% whiel hexed Mursaat hammer, with a starting bid of 400k. He claimed that because it had a 5/1 haft it was worth that much.
Is it morons that are buying and selling at this price, or do these people just advertise and never sell anything? Any comments are welcome.
Price Rise or Morons?

Maybe a tip i got from someone sheds some light the offers part.
He said to name some current offer and buyout in the advertisement of my wares.
In fact claiming a current offer that is at least your minimum price to get ppl to bid higher
After that is is psychology ...
If ppl see that items have been bid on they are less likely to question the amount .. UNLESS they know the value ... like you do
But how many ppl do you think know ALL there is to know about the value of stuff.
It's a form of scamming i think

An old trick which has been about for a while but I guess people are struggling to sell their wares (or should I say get what they want for their wares) so they revert to the "imaginary c/o"
My thoughts anyway.

Lots of people should know LBS's Rule of thumb for selling items.

Morons...
I think there is an artificial push to drive prices up again and I see the same person with the same c/o for a week.

Yep - I know I've purchased items from several people in LA1 where they had listed a c/o...and I bought it for half that amount.
They readily admit that it's just a bargaining tool after the sale is completed.

to the OP, there's plenty of people that try to sell stuff for insane prices...... they just keep spamming the same price all day and wonder why they havent sold it after a month....... they're just that stupid

I sell items for how much I want for them, not how much I think others will pay.
And also about these fake c/o's, cmon... we ened an auctioning system thats well... in the system.
Iv been to LA D1 and spam for a certain upgrade and i hear...
"80K"
im like "try again"
hes like "60K"
and I go "I wouldnt even pay over 45K"
<adds to ignore list>
(keep in mind a friend is ALWAYS there; hes a speculater, ALWAYS trading)
Friend gos "hey theres a guy spamming about you"
me "?"
Friend "he's spamming he'll sell <item> for 45K to anyone but (me)"
<I spot some one else selling the same item for 20K 5 seconds later>
needless to say I want an auctioning system.
what I dont want is plants on an auction(2nd accout; friends; guild mates, ect)
