I have just finished the Academy on my newb and got the first quest The Kings Message. I did as it asked I had Alesia the henchie join my party and I went out to old ascalon and up to Ambasador Zain. I talked to him and then I get an option up where he talks to me then I have to click "nevermind I'l be back later" and the quest will not update. I have gone back to Warmaster Tidus he tells me to deliver the message. I have logged off and back on numerous times and gone to Ambasador Zain many times but my quest just won't update. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of this glitch so that I can move on in the game. Or a way to report this to GW. Thanks.

when you accept alesia into your group, it takes a few seconds for the game to recognize she's in your party. what i suggest doing is wait for a little bit and then go to Zain.

Yeah I tried that it says quest update and realizes I have Alesia in my party. Then I leave town run over to him and talk to him he has that little exlamation mark over his head but it just won't update from there.

just forget the quest.

When you first walk up to him he is in a conversation with another NPC. (The Prince I think). You have to wait until they are done talking to talk to Ambasador Zain. If you do then the quest should update. I usually go the the guy to his right and get the ritual quest first, then I go to Ambasador Zain by this time they are close to finishing the coversation.

NOyou are thinking of presear and the quest for the birthday present.
abandon the quest, log out after making sure it is gone from your quest log and log back in.
get it from Tydus again
go to ambassador
return to Tydus for reward

you have to take our little hench healer as per Tydus suggestion at which the quest log updates.
the conversation is new from when i did it before just doing it now.
you can interupt the conversation at any time for the reward

Ok I dropped the quest and picked it back up again and it worked. Whew.
