Why Is Gates To Krytan Mission So Hard?

did they patch this and make it harder to accomplish? i'm getting *****d at the upper swamp area and it was never like that .. what is going on? all the undead are jumbled together and never move apart and the swamp is totally poisoned out how the heck do u accomplish this mission now!!!
