Crystallines drop anywhere from the Maguuma Jungle onward; no, they don't have to drop from chests. >.>

Crystalline's probably do drop in tyria, when drakes were actually good to farm there were chests in twin serpent lake that people farmed for crystalline, eternal shields, storm bows, chaos axes, stuff that you would normally find in fow/uw but they nerfed that a while ago

Not sure about this... a 14>50 gold crystalline sold a week ago at 1.8 million gold. Lesser versions such as no-dmg-mod, purple non-max-dmg, 12+ requirements, and similar won't crack the 100k mark, but gold crystallines are still hard heck to get without a decent bid involving lots of gold + ecto.

Not true at all, I sold mine for 120K and it was only a max damage purple with a +5 defense mod.
