Some food for thought if you allow a son or daughter to play on your account...

one of the great consistently valid rules of life is "try and imagine the stupidest possible thing anyone could do at any given time, because chances are, thats what they are going to do."
this applies to people in cars, people on games, people in resturaunts, and people in general.
so, before you share your account with someone, imagine the stupidest thing they could possibly do with it, because chances are, thats what they are going to do.

I think anyone could've told you that a younger child is going to do that. If you tell them not to, they will do it. Unfortunate that you lost your guild and all because of this. Hopefully you had some kind of punishment or talk with your son after, thats more along the lines of breaking a trust barrier there.

My dad was Recon in Nam, know how marine dads are, might want to ask yourself if "boot camp" at his age is a good thing.

Im sure you want him to follow in YOUR footsteps, but is that what HE wants? Or you letting the Corps start brainwashing him at this age?

and hey!! i just turned 15 3 months ago and started playing guild wars 6 months ago i ain't that stupid i completed the game 2 twice by meyself, made lots of farming builds and modified normal farming builds , manage to farm the underworld with a e/mo (non smite or prot) finaly got to rank 3 (only started doing tombs often a while ago) and now am currently a officer to a rank 200 guild..................so we teens are not all that dumb ...but ur cousin is LOL!!!!

who ever thinks kids under the age of 14 are iresponsible of playing guild wars
ive been sharing my brothers acount for about 2 months now and i have never done anything like spending his money or joining a different guild and i have even finished the game.

This thread was never intended to be a bashing of my parenting techniques... But if you must know, my son had a choice between fall baseball, football, boy scouts, and Young Marines. He made his choice on his own. He has his own mind and I do not intend to force him to "follow my foot steps." I would really prefer him to go to college and have a nice safe career. I'm fighting now so hopefully he won't need to when he is my age.

I thank your Father for his service and you should be ashamed of yourself for talking about the Marine Corps like that. Boot camp does not brain wash anyone. I was certainly not brainwashed. Some people seem to forget that the advertising logo of the Marines is "the few, the proud, the Marines" That means it isn't for everyone. If you are so weak minded that something as simple as boot camp will "brainwash" you, then you have joined the wrong service and we don't want or need you. I use the word "you" as a generalized hypothetical person. I do not mean to attack you personally. But if you have never been through it then how can you say something like that?

One last thing… Some Marine Dads are like the movies portray, but not all of them are. Don’t stereotype. That’s lame, and disgustingly unfair as a whole.

MarineCorpsDude, pay them no attention. Notice that those who have made negative comments most likely do not have children of their own. It's the same scenerio that happens time and time again when you are a parent, the world feels it's their job to tell you how to raise your kids. (And ironically, those who are the most vocal usually do not have children). A crash course that I'm sure you are no stranger to.

I never understood the reasoning behind software companies saying 'no sharing accounts' or 'you can only install this on one computer'. If I paid my money, I should be able to use it on EVERY computer in my house, and let EVERY family member use it if I so choose. This seems the same to me as Pillsbury saying if I bought those cinnamon rolls, I can't share them with my daughter, or Paramount saying I can only watch that movie on ONE DVD player. If every company followed the same logic as the software companies, you'd have to have one computer for each person in the house, everyone would have to have thier own TV, and you couldn't let anyone else ride in or drive your car. For that matter, YOU bought that house, no one can live in it but you. Seems kinda idiotic to me. This is just a cheap tactic to get more money, and should be stopped.

P.S. There aint no way I'm getting my daughter her own phone and phone line.

As a parent myself, I get crap from other people about the way I raise my daughter, (I'm a single dad to a beautiful six year old) and most of these morons don't even have kids.

I share it with my 10 year old little brother. But i have to say it goes pretty well..
Since he is only 10. I can expect he cant go along with my current guild (Rank 6+)
But actually he plays very well with them in Tombs.. He often plays at my acoRED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO and they dont even see it is him instead of me.. only when he goes spamming, and when he types slow.. but normally he plays pretty good.. We make sure we know what we are doing..I have a note and i write things on it.. SO what he is allowed to buy from the faction.. He is not allowed to buy anything from the faction unless his group demands him to get that skill.. When he wants a skill for himself he first has to ask by himself.
This is in true example how it also could work out. In my case he is not that bad because he is (almost) always next to me when i play. So he learns a lot from me.. The way how to behave. The skills he should implent in his characters. When he needs to spike trap or whatever.

Well Me and my brother have been sharing this account for about 4 months now.

We used to separate our own money like i have this much he has this much on his character.


Now since we made 5 characters now and we keep deleting and my brother always asks me 4 money when he needs it so now we share everything and we keep 1k on our characters and all our money is in storage
